Its Englands loss if they miss out on talented players because of some stupid sense of false national pride.

What's false about National Pride?
"'Dubbed', you should be 'Dumbed'."
You're quite clearly a simpleton. A deluded one at that.
Look at the France team that dominated in 98' and 00: Zinedine Zidane (Algeria), Patrick Vieira (Senegal) Marcel Desailly (Ghana), Lilian Thuram (Caribbean Islands) Thierry Henry (Guadalupe) Christian Karembeu (New Caledonia in the Pacific Ocean) as well as Robert Pires (Portugal) David Trezeguet (Argentina)
Wouldn't it be boring if
all the northern European clubs just
naturalised a bunch of latin american and
spanish players, just to inject some "style"?

Speak for yourself jsp.
99% of English fans would prefer the "fancy" and "stylish " brand of latinofootball over the hoofball served by the so called gritty English players.

I think this is excatly what I dislike about it. We
will end up with a sport that is diluted down and
no nations having any sense of footballing
identity.
****
Hmm... Identity of football changes. Probably the one constant of the game. Spain changed, brazil changed, germany changed, usually to great success.
It could be postulated that the problem is with the lack of change in english style despite the influx of foreign players, styles and managers. A quick study of social sciences will show you that being stuck in a "culture" while refusing evolution is the fastest way to getting extinct. The fading away of the home nations and growing irrelevancy of england should be ample evidence
'Dumbed'
Your profile name tells us all we need to know bud

I hope Januzaj plays for Belgium and not England where his talent will be wasted and he'll be forced to hug the line and whip in pointless crosses by the dinosaur England managers.
Germany have got as many foreigners as Germans
We do have some interesting and technical players starting to hit the U21 setup though.... The likes of Ravel, Lingard, Shaw, Sterling etc
Surely adding players above them just further limits their chances.
Yo Ji, while you're online could you tell my old buddy Red Side to unfilter me?
Cheers.
It is entirely dependent on the players, they are not just squad lists, they are actual people who will feel a loyalty to a particular nation- it is therefore dependent on the association of that players' country of choice to act upon any selection process.
You cannot make someone play for England if they do not feel any connection whatsoever to England and that is the same as any country.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_England_international_footballers_born_outside_England
This is a list that shows players that played for england with one of the criteria being naturalised citizens so the article is irrelevent...
blabla..
Given that every player on that list except Butcher was useless for England I guess that proves that maybe we shouldn't naturalise players

You mock me for following my local team? That amounts to 'clutching at straws' for a mor-on.
That tells me even more about you 'Dumbed'.........oh well.

As opposed to now when many players are getting into the set up way too early?
I think you will find out as unrealistic as that policy for top club teams, waiting/making room for youngsters especially with the priority of winng immediately. Also the development of youngsters are the most unpredictable things in football.
Don't get me wrong though I would love that as the team policy for englamd and united but as many here have pointed out to me is idealistic.
"You mock me for following my local team? That amounts to 'clutching at straws' for a mor-on."
No. I am stating a fact. You're out of your depth in this debate, just like Palace are in the Premier League.
You'd understand that if you weren't such a chimp.
I haven't read this thread, and I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the likes of Welbs, Sterling, Barnes weren't all Britisj at birth (I don't think?) so it's nothing new.
Look at out cricket team, German national team, French national team, if it works and gets us better players I'm all for it.
I've 'probably' (there's always that 1% chance!) done more in football, in the UK and abroad, than you'll ever do bud.

There's no chance of you lying over the internet, eh? Very little chance of that.
