Ferguson probably didn't like a kid challenging him like that.
In his last few years Fergie didn't give much of our youth a chance, if he was still manager I'm sure Januzaj would still be a reserve player
Rafael, Welbeck, de Gea, Evans, Smalling, Jones all got chances at young ages.

One thing I'll gives Moyes credit for is chucking Januzaj in at the deep end, fair play to him. I hope he continues to give youth a chance and can build his own side over the next few years with a few experienced players coming towards the end of their careers.
Moyes will play a young player if he shows his worth. He gave Barkley and Rooney their debuts at 16 after all.
I think Fergie didn't want a 18/19 year old telling him how to do his job.
This is one where SAF has to take it on the chin and say he got terribly wrong.
Well tbf fergie was winning alot
I always said that would have been the game he would have decided to leave after.

In this case winning doesn't justify allowing good players to go
I think if asked and he was absolutely being honest he would admit himself this could be the most costly mistake he has made.
Pogba already must be worth 35 million, and is basically exactly the type of player we crave. But that ship sailed.
All managers make mistakes, Fergie was no different although with his success made fewer than most. However, the player has now left Utd for Juve, we have a new manager in Moyes, so what is there to discuss?

We lost the league that season, and a game Pogba may have have made the difference. We'll never know.
Sir Alex deserves to tell his side of the story. His book may do that.

I certainly hope so. We know he wanted to keep hold of the lad, we know he promised him game time in public.
There must have been something going on behind the scenes with his attitude or something.
Perhaps Fergie just didn't like to be challenged as stated above. He certainly won't come out and say 'I messed up'.

With the exception of Rafael all these players had at least on full season in the Premier League either on loan or at the selling club.
Same goes for Cleverly which you missed out.
Name anyone other than Rafael who in the last few years got consistent games from the reserves without going on loan to PL for a full season. The last one I remember was Darren Gibson in 2007, 4 years ago.
To think Gibson was given chances but not Pogba is embarrassing
Busby
Like you said, it had to be his attitude. The fact that Pogba hasn't shut up about his exit from United shows that he is a bit mouthy.
The fans don't like to see these players leave but the fans also don't see what these players are like behind the scenes.

Gibson was a bit older though. Even so I think the fact that he was a "prospect" from a home nation gave SAF a greater incentive to play him.
Agreed Rob. Sometimes though, you get the feeling did things out of spite, he may not have got in with the lad for whatever reason.
We've had Rooney up locally criticise the club yet be given another chance. I agree he seems a bit chirpy, but he kept it quiet whilst at the club.
All I can say is, if Pogba did not happen, Januzaj will not be playing now. Also my hopes for Keane and Wilson are much more improved. Even Lingard and Powell. If we want a bright spot from that eff up, that is what we can hang our hat on, that the likelihood of losing a good youngster for nothing is smaller than ever.
If it also motivates us to not let contracts run down to the last year before we can actually test them in our first to which their values are likely to explode, I would not mind that either.
dont think his attitude can be bad since hes a regular at juventus now
Have the admins not created a Pogba board? There are more articles on Pogba on the Manchester United board than some boards have in total.

I don't think there's been an ex-Manchester United player that talks so much about us. He barely even played for us!

Gibbo was loaned out to Wolves. The fact Wolves were not keen on him should tell you a story.

Pogba (yes another mention for the lad)
