Another slow week on the dogs board eh Sutton that's why you're on here.

Sam Rush has not got away without criticism. He made a decision that he was in a position to make. He made it poorly and was lambasted for that. He has stamped his mark now and will take the flack if it goes wrong.

Sam Rush is not being defended, he is currently doing a pub tour to meet the fans who slag him off to his face for the treatment he gave Clough.

What fans have double standards Sutton? Let's have some facts.

What double standards? You lot would be all over our board like a rash if we'd done this. You'd be going mental, rich mans play thing with no respect for history or the culture of the game as you lot have said plenty of times.

Your foreign owners sack a legend and you defend them. That's not double standards? It's not the fact you sacked him that's the problem. These things happen, but don't humiliate him buy doing after the derby. Pay him up and let him move on with his career. He had a great chance to move on at big club, thats pretty local too and couldn't take it. He might not get a similar opportunity. You've held his career back.

You can say we treated SOD badly. But he was paid and walked stright in to a better job than we took him from. At least we gave him that chance.

Sutton, you lot didn't just abuse sod you abused your ex chairman as well even when he had passed away.
Maybe not you but some of your fans did.
So please don't come on here spouting. Cause that was a disgrace.
RIP Nigel Doughty.

I have no idea what you are on about Sutton. Derby fans have shown Nigel nothing but respect. Nigel was offered the Sheffield job within a week of leaving, I don't know the finances arround the settlement deal but £400k was rumoured and Nigel and the club are deciding how that should be paid. Meanwhile, Nigel who has had 15 yrs of continuos football management has decided to have a few months off to spend with his family. He may decide to be paid monthly by Derby or in a negotiated lump sum.

Stop making stuff up.

I'm making nothing up. I've seen it in print and heard journos say he was keen on the job. Why discuss how to pay it? You owe him, pay him. If you can't afford to pay him you can't afford to sack him.

And thanks to wassa for proving my double standards point. You lot have got tunnel vision and you think people are that daft they'll just believe the rubbish you come out with. I think some of you do actually believe it.

Derby fans respect the job Clough did because you are lovely people. Evil Forest fans abused their owner becsuse they are bad people. Thats how you all see it it twisted little world. Forgetting that I've seen 1000s of #cloughout tweets, calling him all sorts of names. That I've seen threads on here calling for him to go and liads of criticism, like we don't talk to Derby fans. You think we go around with our eyes and ears shut. You can spout any old dross and we'll believe it.

Yes a few of fans tweeted stuff that was out order to ND. That was wrong. But yet again you totally forget a large section of the Derby crowd behaved awfully too and massivly upset the family. Double standards.

Personally I'd rather fans tried to make their voices heard when it comes to the running of their clubs, then let them treat someone in the way Derby have without any proper response from the fans
just because you win a couple of games

Stop making stuff up.

What do you want us to do Sutton?

Sorry Wassa why does that make me hypocrite? I've often been critical of the people running my club and of managers. Nothing wrong with that.

Was he a managerial legend? Hardly.
Lots of if a an buts from you Sutton. He got sacked because he wasn't meeting the expectations of the board and they acted to try and push on, so far it worked.
Man City sacked Mancini after he won them their first title in god knows how many years, were you protesting as much in their board???

Looks like Sutton has stopped answering my questions.

Sutton, Why is N Clough a legend at Derby? He's more of a Forest legend isn't he? Isn't he the 2nd all time highest goal scorer for Forest? If thats the case why do the Forest fans that the mickey out of him at every opportunity...I don't think Derby fans would treat hector the same way as Forest fans did Clough.
Maybe For me it's his Forest connections and I remembered him kissing his Forest shirt to the Derby fans in the 1980's that I never 100% warmed to him...Regarding Derby stopping him joining Sheff U is way off. Sheff Utd approached Orient regarding Slade at the same time as they did Clough...it's called keeping your optioned open and making sure you get the right man.

Nigel Clough could be installed as Sheffield United's new manager this week after discussions with the Bramall Lane board over the last 48 hours, three weeks after his dismissal from Derby County.

The 47-year-old was identified as the League One club's preferred target after the sacking of David Weir but he was initially keen to take an extended holiday after more than 15 years as a manager.

United's appointment has also been held up while Clough finalised his compensation from Derby but it is understood a settlement has almost been agreed.

Clough watched United's next opponents Crewe play Bristol City on Saturday in a clear sign that he is ready to accept the post, and he is expected to be confirmed in the next few days.

His back-room staff at Derby, which comprised Andy Garner, Johnny Metgod, Gary Crosby and Martin Taylor, are also poised to join him.

That should please sutton, I know how worried he's been.

I don't know what so special about milfs post. He's found one article that suits. Different journos and media out lets have reported it diffrently.

And tommo when did I say I'd never called him non league? I openly admit I did on this thread.

Fair enough you lot reckon I'm going over the top. When you come on our board dishing out the same old, rich mans play thing, foreign owners killing the game and even better the old Cloughs mean more to Derby and they love our club. We can all justifiably just laugh at you hypocritical nonsense.
