cheers for the read guys, had no idea what happened second half til i read the remainder of this thread
Sounds like Sako has heard the growing complaints about his hit and miss performances maybe?
Or is Uncs suggestions that he was back covering all night just Unc being Unc?
How did we line up tonight anyway?
Where was Sako, out and out winger? Pulled inside more?
Sako must have ran the length of the pitch a hundred times - simply awesome in attack and defence. He broke up or cleaned up numerous attacks and was at the heart of nearly all our forays (Henry was also up there in this respect). He 'made' the first goal with a stinging cross shot that the keeper couldn't hold.
He also made the second goal with a sublime 60 yard pass to Griffiths, intelligently using the pitch to hold up the ball like a snooker player would use the grain of the baize when playing a long screw.
Genius.
Just being reading Molmix, Price sounds like the star of the show tonight and everybody seems to want us to stick with the formation.
Where does that leave Doyle?
Did laugh at some comments on there as well, ''hope that shows the critics they were wrong'' etc etc........just maybe it was the criticism which he will of course be aware of, that made him up his all around game?
Sako was MOTM by an absolute mile.
LOL
The two posters who gave Price 10/10 and criticized Sako just happen to be the two who have been slating him silly for the last month.
They have been rightly exposed as having an agenda to defend.
Sako played at the same standard he has all season. Didn't get into the game at all first half other than helping out defensively. But as often has happened since he has been at the club he ultimately made the difference in a game that looked like heading for a 0-0 and made two goals, Great that he stayed with us.
Everyone was crying out for Doyle to come on as we never looked like scoring and he was warming up when we got a somewhat fortunate first goal when Sako hit the ball hard across the face of goal and the keeper dropped it and it bounced off Henry into the net. Second goal could have lead to a sending off as the defender deliberately handled Sako's pass but it fell for Griffiths and the ref waved play on and Leigh took the goal excellently
Good that we were able to rest Doyle and get three points but we looked clueless going forward until we got that lucky break as we always do when Doyle doesn't play. But he will be back on Saturday for Evans who looked lost in an attacking midfield role.
In summary another disappointing performance but a valuable three points against the worst team we have played against this season
Evans getting massacred on molmix - and Price being compared to Messi.
Were you at the match Herbie, or hiding behind your radio again?
Maybe you should go read molmix DJ, barely a mention of Doyle and most seem to think this was a good display and the formation should be stuck with.
Can't say i am a fan of the formation, but i do think KJ is aware we need to do something to produce more in the final third.
Wonder if he will maybe try Doyle in a withdrawn role as opposed to a 2nd striker.
i wonder how many of the people on molmix are watching the game when they type their comments?
we created nothing for the first 40 minutes, had a couple of decent shots just before half time, then came out second half and still ddin't really threaten that much until the rather fortuitous first goal. once we'd scored, the team settled down and looked to pick off oldham with some nice passing moves.
defence were largely untroubled but i didn't think that the three man midfield worked that well. it is always hard to judge but oldham didn't seem to have anything like the ability playing through the middle that crawley or swindon did. how well lmac, evans and price would have coped against a better opposition is hard to tell. but against the team they were facing, i don't recall too many times any of the three created clear chances for griffiths, or got up to support him in the box. if we're going to play 3 CMs that is a must.
henry and sako were the two likely goal providers. both played traditional wide roles throughout the match.
sako worked non stop and managed to create both goals whilst being our best LB of the game i could be wrong, but the idea that the french speaking footballer spends his evenings reading idiots on football forums online telling him how to play better seems a little unlikely to me. i'd guess it is more likely that he recognised the conditions were awful and that he was getting no service first half so he was best placed playing deeper and helping out the defence at times.
next match (my choice):
ikeme
doherty (stearman) batth stearman (ricketts) ricketts (golbourne)
henry kmac davis sako
griffiths doyle

Well cinci you made the comment that caps all that have gone before.
Your message to me - don't go to the matches if you want to know how Wolves are playing go to Mol Mix
Your message to other posters - don't read JA606 if you want to know how Wolves are playing go to Mol Mix
Your message to yourself - don't listen to the views of people on 606 that go to the games or even watch the games yourself, take note of what is said on other forums as they are a much better guide.
The future of 606 is bright indeed. The lunatics have truly entered the asylum
I couldnt seperate Price and Sako for motm, sako seems to see more of the ball when doyle doesnt play,we play with more width instead of being too narrow when doyle plays, last night was a more fluid performance especially in the second half and i dont know where all the calls were coming from for doyle to come on there was no need for any substitutions at all because it was quite obvious that it was just a matter of time till we scored there was no need for them the team was playing well.
Griffiths should have woken up this morning with the match ball by his bedside because he should have had a hat trick and quite rightly got a standing ovation when coming off as he did saturday.
ooooohh, sorry i made the error of thinking you might be interested in other peoples opinions DJ, my bad
Sako has been told via his twitter what a lot of ''fans'' think of him gb, and Saturday was considered his worst wolves display by many.
Though of course, i am to ignore peoples opinions on these matters unless of course its DJs opinion, then of course it becomes gospel.
DJ is absolutely right to pick up on your post. It is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read on here to disagree with someone who has been to the match on the basis that something else you've read online disagrees with it. What exactly were you expecting from that comment? DJ to change his opinion based on viewing the match because of comments on another forum?
You don't even know whether those people have seen the game. For all you know, people on Molmix come on here, read your comments and go back saying Doyle isn't good enough and Sako shouldn't be in the team...for you to later find it and repeat it here as gospel evidence for your opinions.
Disagree every second of the day with everything everybody says by all means but at least form your own opinion on what you're saying.
Jesus, ummmmmm, i didn't disagree with DJs post
He had a different view to many i had read so i thought he may find those comments interesting to read, i know, i know, i shouldn't have been friendly in that way given my user name.
You may also notice that i mentioned the source and did not claim anything as my own opinion, but of course, thats dificult to grasp for some isn't it.
Good to see you turn up when an argument looks to be building, is there some kind of alert system on here or something?
Is it your aim in life to try to portray yourself as pathetic as possible cinci? You seem to relish saying you are being bullied, victimised, put down, insulted, and now this silly outburst
My comment was about the viewS of people on here that go to the games and in no way have I ever put forward that mine are any more right than anyone else's.
But my views are my opinions and I am not going to change them just because you have found someone who has a different opinion.
As long as Doyle and Sako are here they will be first choice players because we are a far better team when they are both playing. That's my unequivocal view and I would rather come across as being genuine aniut my views than your preferred approach of saying they must be first choice and then telling us every day why they shouldn't be
DJ, you are the one who has a problem here, as i have just said, i thought you may find the other opinions of interest as i assume that is one reason you use forums in the first place, to give and take opinions of others.
So for you to as usual overreact the way you have says more about you than it does me.
I apologise again for thinking you may have an interest in other peoples views who went to the same game as you.
Yeah there is an alert, a little blue box pops up with the text "comment by Cinciwolf (U11551)" in.
Apologies if this wasn't your intention but my impression from your comment was that you were disagreeing with/suggesting DJ was wrong on the basis of comments on another forum.
The way it was worded didn't suggest to me that you thought DJ might be interested in reading elsewhere, it sounded as though you were disagreeing with him based on those comments.
It isn't without context, I think it is probably fair to say you are Doyle's most vocal critic on here. DJ commented on the importance of Doyle and your response was to say that he should read Molmix because there's barely a mention of Doyle. I'm struggling to believe you were innocently suggesting it would make for an interesting read for him?
Anyway, I don't really care, I just saw your comment crying about DJ bullying you and wanted to say that I personally (and I think objectively) read it the same way DJ seemed to, therefore I don't think his reaction warranted your sarcastic apology unsubtly and unfairly trying to suggest that you cannot have an opinion.
Im not Doyles biggest critic at all, i believe in that very some post i said we need to find a way of getting Doyle in the side.
What i will do is criticise Doyles pathetic strike rate for a striker, and justifiably so.
You all need to calm down and get some bloody perspective.

I think it's fair to say that I am probably Doyle's biggest critic on 'ere.
He plays his best football in a 4-5-1 system, when he's the lone striker and until now, he hasn't performed well in a 4-4-2 style. Some believe he's doing better this season and so he should as this is the third tier of English football and at this level I would expect someone playing up front to get more goals.
However, we now have a proper goalscorer (just like we did with Fletcher) in the shape of Griffiths and KJ feels he needs to play Doyle somewhere and it's usually up front. Where else would/could KJ play him?
Stick him in goal in a 1-5-4 formation?
Doyle's best position is as one of the two forwards in a 4-4-2 formation and his form this season in that position has been excellent.
What we have seen in most matches this season is the opposition matching Wolves in build up play and passing but Wolves being superior in the final third. Whereas the opponents have struggled with the final ball and with finishing, Wolves have shown greater quality where it matters and have the players to unlock teams through that extra quality.
That extra quality largely comes from Griffiths as a striker, Doyle alongside him and Sako on the left wing. A forward line that would be more than comfortable at a higher level than League One.
Jackett may occasionally rest one of those players to bring in some fresh legs but I don't believe he will feel there is any doubt that his best team includes those three playing in those positions and as long as they are here he will select them to play there.
