As usual

We are up against a 3 man midfield
----
I can see a Bilbao type of game coming up.

It still makes me laugh that Fergie once thought that Carrick and Giggs would handle Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets. What a WUM

I can see a battering coming.

It will be interesting to see how people will defend Moyes if we get over run in midfield as many are predicting.

My WUM lineup had 9 of the starting 11

I will get £400 if so

We need Rooney, Kagawa and Carrick to have good games, otherwise I can see this being a massive struggle.

If we win it'll be interesting to see how many people ignore anything Giggs did to help.

You bet against United?

To be fair, if you did, , it's a good shout considering our recent form

I do that sometimes. Win-win situation.

I had a bet on "outsiders" shall we say and then the likes of us, PSG, Bayern Real etc

Giggs and Carrick in midfield against spanish opposition. This is going to be good

Why info does Giggs have against the club that allows him to start all these matches? Even Fergie insisted on playing the pensioner.

It must be quite outrageous gossip that Moyes doesn't want let out.

People need to stop moaning. Moyes watches these players in training everyday and for managers like Fergie and Moyes to pick him, he must be doing something right. I guarantee he will be one of the best trainers. What message does it send out to the team if the like of Fellaini and anderson are poor in training yet start the game. Giggs is an experienced professional and he will get the job done. If he plays poor then you can slate but wait till after the game.

Moyes knows better than any of us, so either apply to be the next United manager or chill out.

It's almost like people actually think Moyes or Sir Alex deliberately try to sabotage the clubs chances.

Would Mourinho be any different? Well, he's started Lampard in CM nearly every week this season.

Manchester United manager David Moyes, on Robin van Persie's absence against Real Sociedad: "He has two bad toes and has been complaining about his groin so we took the chance to rest him and get him ready for the weekend.

"We've got a big squad and players who are fresh. All you can do is win the next game and we'll try and beat Sociedad. That will give us a good points tally.

"They have not started the Spanish season as well as they would like but they had a good win against Valencia at the weekend."

I think it's safe to say the blueprint of resting as many players as possible in midweek games that Sir Alex perfected is being practiced by Moyes.

The result of the game has nothing to with how good or woeful giggs or the line up is. HOW THEY PERFORM WILL.

I have been trying to point this out to tons of people here especially robb.

I have little hopes for the team. Hernandez is not good enough to start as a striker for us. Giggs is bad but fellaini is worse so....

Where the hell is RvP?

Looks like those rumours about a rift with Moyes are true after all...

Didnt Giggs get taken to the cleaners by his missus?

That's why he gets contracts and keeps playing, he needs the cash.

********

That's too easy an escuse. The training pitch and the actual game are two different things. I bet you an 18 year old could out train many settled players, does not mean you play them either
