I would argue van Persie has an advantage in terms of his technical skill and quick feet, but Ibra is better in terms of physical strength and power. Ibra's good technically too, his first touch is second to none, but my view is van Persie's technical ability is superior to that of Ibra's. Van Persie's delivery from dead ball situations and passing is better, too. Rooney's got a better pass than Ibra and does more defensive work, but aside from that, I would say Ibra is superior to him in everything else. But not 'easily' ahead.

I don't believe RVP is technically better. Zlatan can do anything RVP can but I've seen him do things I've not seen from RVP. But RVP has a better dead ball delivery. And neither Rooney nor RVP have better passing than Zlatan - no way. Zlatan's vision is fantastic.

I say he's easily ahead of both because on a season by season basis, players like Rooney, RVP, Falcao, Aguero, Torres etc may be as good but on a 10 year career stretch of consistency, he's easily the best striker around.

Fair enough if that's your view, but needless to say, I disagree with it very strongly.

As good as Ibra is, I think his goals at Inter could arguably be dismissed considering the Calciopoli scandal. Van Persie I believe would have had a much improved goalscoring record were it not for his injury woes, but his goals-to-minutes ratio is still excellent. I would also argue that Premier League as a whole is stronger than the leagues Ibra has played in all his career. I think he'd have a good goalscoring record in England. But he's been scoring between 29-35 goals a season the last few seasons and I don't think he'd get as many in the Premier League.

When I think of the phrase 'easily better' I don't see it as 'miles better'. I think of it as there's no way that he isn't. It's not to say that the gap is huge, but it's unmistakable. Like if someone were to say (in 2013 because they're quite closer this year) Messi is easily better than Ronaldo, that's not to say that Messi cleans the floor with Ronaldo, just that there is a significant gap between the 2 to show who is better. But in 2013 I'd say that they're very close. Ronaldo wins the 2013/2014 season so far for sure

Ibra's dribbling is overrated. Although there's no-one better than can hold the ball up though. Unreal strength.

Van Persie's more agile, too. He can turn a defender so quickly.

I know YouTube videos aren't a great indicator, but look at his passing and skill in those videos. Don't think Ibra's is better.

He is so static it's unreal. He relies more on clever movement and dummies.

Ibra's dribbling is top notch though, on the other hand.
He can skip past players, unlike RVP.

I'd say that RVP's dribbling is slightly 'cleaner' but ibra can dance through defences, even if he does look like a donkey doing it

I don't even think van Persie's dribbling is that great, but I would still say it's better than Ibra's. Albeit not by much, but still. Agree on van Persie relying more on clever movement and dummies though.

I wouldn't say Ibra skips past players. It's more that they can't handle him physically, so he outmuscles them.
