Victory & Moyes or Defeat & Moyes Sacked.

Well I can tell W&R and Redas haven't voted yet.

5 from me we need to stay behind the manager and start picking up a streak of wins, we haven't been far off in some of the games we have drawn just feel we have been missing a bit of luck.

Personally, I would keep Moyes until Jan 2015 regardless of how far down the table we end up this season (probably barring relegation ) as I think he deserves the chance to build his own team.
----
That's a lie. If we finish lower than fourth then IMO he will deserve the sack, having said that I think we'll end up in top 4.

He won't be sacked even if we lose next 5 games in league. Remember who is on the board who employed him in the first place.

I wasn't a fan of his appoitment before a ball was even kicked. I thought it was a HUGE HUGE gamble to follow the most successful manager of all time with a manager that doesn't know how it feels to be a winner.

Whether we want him or not.....we're stuck with him for now. All we can do is get behind him and hope he turns it around.

5 star of course. But I agree with the poster above. I can't see Moyes lasting if we miss top 4.

How is that a lie if it's my opinion?

Why would he deserve the sack if we finish lower than 4th? We probably have a 4th/5th placed squad this season given that we stood still whilst other teams improved their squads massively! There were plenty of danger signs under SAF that our team was over-achieving. I still expect us to finish top 4, but if we don't then Moyes deserves at least one non-shambolic summer to rectify the problems within this squad.

The club accounts state for United to achieve their aim of generating 500m revenue, they need to finish third and with a trophy. What happens if these aims aren't achieved?

posted on 27/10/13

I don't see us getting top 4 right now. We chose the worst possible summer to stand still and it's going to come back and bite us hard I reckon.

The only thing that can save it, is a good Jan transfer window. But I'm not holding my breath on that either.

Is that a rhetorical question, or is the answer 'they dont hit their target' being too pedantic?

French I'm being deadly serious, I can't see us finishing top 3 so if we do clinch 4th would the club still be backing Moyes? The Glazers are money men remember, they would want as much money from the club as possible and if 3rd isn't achieved it'll be interesting to see what happens.

It's a lie because if we finished (let's say) 10th you would definitely not ave that same opinion.
How do we have a 5th placed squad? We finished first last year by some distance. I'm all for supporting him while he's in charge but if we finish goth or lower he'll get the sack and deservedly so.

Moyes just doesn't have much experience of managing Man Utd, and the only way of changing that is to give him time, time to reflect on his sacking as we employ someone who has more experience of managing Man Utd over the last 20 years. There has got to be plenty of people who fit that critereon out there.

Back the Club.The Team.The Manager.
The Fans need to do their part aswell, and not boo our own players.
give them the rousing support they need, they feed off it.
thought it was disgusting fans booing Nani.
There is obviously an element of UTD fans, that have let the success get to them, and have become 'spoilt brats' and that Patience has no place at our club. Foolishness!
We cannot win it every year.
UTD have tried a unique approach, for a BIG club in these modern times.
so lets respect that decision. Obviously we want to see signs the club is always wanting to improve and is consistantly in the mix.
But have to respect the fact, that this is a hard task.
SAF was a genius. Give Moyes a Chance.
Don't underestimate, the wind up merchants like the media, and so called pundits that have digs at UTD for every little thing. They have a motive.
They want UTD to fail.
I'm gonna do what SAF asked, and support Moyes.

LB and CB are needed

The league is not important this season. A decent run in the Champions League is what we should aim for this season. If we get to the quarter finals then that would be a success. I would aim for 5th in the league, and quarter finals in the CL, this would allow us to build on that next season and get to the final or even win the CL. It is all about building year on year, and if you don't have the base in place from the previous year then you can't improve the next. So 5th or 6th in the league this season and winning the CL next season is a realistic goal.

1. The defence - Everyone on here seems to think we have the best set of defenders in the league. Well, we don't quite frankly. What we have is young defenders that have the potential to become that, at the moment they are NOT though. It's mistake after mistake at the moment. And they get rotated too much for my liking too.

2. Midfield. Absolutely appalling for a club our size. As good as Carrick looks for us, he wouldn't get a game for many of the favourites for the CL. That's where we are though. Truth hurts.

3. Wingers. Just poor players. Full stop. No consistency between any of them.

4. Gap between midfield and strikers is just far too big.

Apart from that we're fine though

This squad under Moyes will do VERY WELL to get top 4 from what I have seen in first 9 games.

Yes and as a United fan you want what's best forthwith club, if we were to finish that low, sacking Moyes would be best for the club.
