He's been more effective for Chelsea perhaps, but when you compare their overall attributes, I'd say Cesc trumps him in most categories. Passing and vision goes to Fabregas, long-range shooting goes to Fabregas, utilzing timing and space efficiently also goes to Fabregas, controlling the game goes to Fabregas. Apart from finishing and possibly set-pieces, I can't think of anything else where Mata supersedes his fellow Spaniard.
