I think Jol is losing the dressing room and he'll be sacked soon, if we don't win there in the weekend then it'll be an embarrassment.
Yeah they've just come off the back of a 4-3 loss to Leicester and a 2-0 loss to Southampton - we 'should' win.
I see a 2 or 3-0 win. Hopefully our defence will hold strong.
I got to say, I like Jones in midfield. I'd go Vidic and Evans/Smalling with Jones in midfield next to Carrick.
Raf and Evra of course, and DDG.
I'd go Januzaj and Rooney in free roles sitting behind RVP and Hernandez.
And I'd encourage long shots early on from our second line of attack, their GK looks rather shaky at the moment. Then when the dreadful Senderos starts getting pulled apart throwing himself into blocks, etc, let Hernandez and RVP loose running in behind.
A 2-0 half time lead could see us sit back and chill. Save stamina for RS midweek, and break on the counter.
In theory of course all that.
In reality RVP is probably right, they'll sack the manager, we'll concede an early one and Fulham will ji sung the bus and come out of this as heroes
I hope Moyes gives Zaha a game against Fulham. Looked very, very good last night.

i wouldnt go as far as that, he wriggled out of a few tight spaces well but he also did seem like he was running into nowhere at some points and losing the ball, its development though i guess and he will be much better for the run out
one of those annual potential banana skin fixtures for utd. Moyes team selction as usual is going to be critical. Have to say its getting very difficult trying to 2nd guess moyes and last nights win makes it even harder.
No way in a million years will Zaha start. He did not do enough to warrant that. I do hope the lad is not sent out on loan but can feature on the bench and get some sub appearances, particularly at OT where I think he could be dangerous coming on late. There are plenty on here happy to destroy his United career before it has even begun. He is 20 ands till learning the game. He needs to work harder and cut out the shoe boating and number of tricks as he certainly is not Ronaldo.

Shoe boating
Sorry.
I agree with the rest of your comment, but it's hard to see where he's going to get games to be honest. Valencia, Nani, Januzaj & possibly Young are ahead of him in the pecking order - and I don't think it'll be until summer, when Moyes gets chance to sort the squad. will he feature!
Well I think I prefer shoe boating, maybe it will catch on !
Agreed but personally I don't rate or like Young at all and hope he gets shipped out ! Anymore performances and crowd reaction like last time Nani played and he could well get driven out.
I think if Zaha gets a couple of chances to impress and does so he will feel more a part of the set up and will kick on. I think they do need to be strict with him as he is a bit of a fancy dan and the bust up with Morison highlighted that he needs discipline.
Hopefully we can push on now after our comeback win and then last nights win.
I got to say, I like Jones in midfield.
.................
That is where I see him him eventually, as opposed to a CB. He adds that bit of bite in there that we lack sometimes, and has been there for us all to see in the games against WBA, Southampton and Stoke.
Up to the stoke game jones was also performing very well at cb
With reference to the game, sadly I think Jol will be sacked by close of play today, or early tommorow at the latest.
We are very often up against the 'new manager syndrome' teams.

Just needs to sort his passing game out. Definitely has the physical abilities to play there.
FTC
His passing isn't that bad. Sometimes he tries the difficult ball when he shouldn't. But that will come with experience.
I have no doubt in my mind that Jones has already been pencilled in as our future captain.
Fulham are stupid on their day they are dangerous and a threat to any team in the league but most of the time they are pants. You never know which will turn up.
I'd be more than happy if it ends up a dull fest of a game with Young doing an Olympic dive in the 90th minute to win us a penalty guarantying us the three points.
Up to the stoke game jones was also performing very well at cb
..................................
He wasn't really, he looked very poor against Sunderland and could have been more commanding against Southampton for their equaliser.
He generally struggles at centre back but is tenacious and has good recovery pace but he over commits a lot and gets turned and caught out of position, Smalling or Evans should partner Vida in my opinion.

VC I get the feeling despite his deployment in midfield last night that moyes sees him predominantly as a cb for now. Two reasons the vidic/rio partnership is all but finished and moyes has to try integrate fellaini into the team. I agree with you that Jones is emerging as one of utd most important players this season and definately has the attributes of a future captain.
blabla
Just a theory here but I think Moyse will offer Wazza the captaincy next season, if he renews his contract, and Jones will be the right age by the time Wazza retires.

I dont know about that. I would put utd defensive problems against sunderland especially in the first half down to vidics ( who didnt play again till last night) uncertainty and general poor play and as for the southhampton game I thaught the back four were very solid throughout that game and, despite the sucker punch at the end, repelled most of the saints attacks.

Evans has gone well against Drogba in the past, but i know what you mean. Jones does however struggle against physical strikers (Altidore) and small players who have decent movement (Routledge) which is a bit of problems if you play centre back.
He's looked pretty good in midfield but i don't think he's done ANYTHING in his career to warrant the praise he gets, future England captain and potentially one of United's greatest ever players are just two comments i've heard and is going way overboard in my opinion.
I got to say, I like Jones in midfield.

Have been saying this ever since we signed him but got shot down mostly.
I think jones and evans bring the pace that the rio/vidic partnership has lost however Jones can also match the physicality that vidic brought to the table. Rio was never a physical type of cb so evans should be able to cover for rio's pace if not totally match rios football ability.
