"I don't know which set of fans misses their respective ex-player the most. That's a subjective issue."
Which is a shame, as that was the question.
Much like Mr Brutus, the rest of your comment is a wooly, waffly put down. We all know Ronaldo is the better footballer. The OP is after opinions, or subjective responses if you must.
I think both sets of fans need to look at it from a football point of view.
For example, I don't think Arsenal, as a team and the way they play, will miss Fabregas that much. They still pass the ball about nicely, nad still get a fair abundance of goals playing good football.
United, on the other hand, haven't played consistantly good football since Ronaldo left.
I don't think there will be a difinitive answer though really.
It's also down to timing, before signin Ozil most gooners were desperate to see Cesc back... Now all of a sudden the club seems blessed in attacking mids
Likewise when Nani and Valencia were tearing it up and the club had just signed Young I'm sure there would have been less mancs keen on seeing ronaldo return
To answer the op, i'd say ronaldo, because he helped united achieve more.

They'd have to be facking brainless.
