Evening guys
Well another bad day at the office for us, Vidic was unlucky, Rafa was very very lucky.
Anyway onwards and upwards
Good evening RED.
Yeah red card for Vidic a bit harsh. Rafael deserve one though
I thought the red was nailed on. He had no intention of going for the ball, just to hurt the player.
Don't think the ref needs any more invitation to get the red out.
I don't think he saw the Rafael one properly, he seemed to act off reactions.
GT
We fully deserve our league position at the moment the squad is lacking people talk about us lacking class players which we are, but the players we have are failing to get the basics right
That's how I feel. Vida could have seen yellow, Rafael should have seen red, so it was evened out really. Both were facking stupid challenges and shows the frustration of the players at the moment.
It's really not looking good this season as the mentality and attitude of the players just isn't right.
Yeah really miss Rooney and RVP. But that alone isnt an excuse.
We need better Full backs
GT
It's been a shambles, but we've also been unlucky with missing so many important players. Not that it's an excuse, as you say, but it shows how far we've fallen.
farza drop points
there is a god and he's a madridista
"I thought the red was nailed on. He had no intention of going for the ball, just to hurt the player. "
agreed
easy and definite red for me
if it had happened early in the match then you could have thought about giving him the benefit of the doubt but it was obvious that it was a vengeance 'tackle' because of the result. He didn't even look at the ball.
I think you need a lot more at the moment. Your midfield isnt good footballwise.
GT
Exactly not an excuse, we should be able to miss players like that, we have in the past and the other players stood up to be counted but the current players are just feeling sorry for themselves
They need £200million of gross spending on their team.
It really says a lot when a teenager is your best player week in and week out.
GT
It really is sad, I feel sorry for the lad he works hard and the amount of times he puts a ball in the box only for no one to do anything with it.
That could rise to £250million simply because they may have to overpay on some players.
It sounds ridiculous, but if you look at their Champions League winning team from 2008 and look at the value of the players they have lost from that, add in Fergie and throw in City's squad strength then I think £250million is realistic.
£200m with this manager, yes.
GT, it does, however, he's only our best player week in week out because Rooney and RVP haven't been playing week in week out.
He's not on their level yet.
Gunnerthru was completely right when he said Tottenham are still in the hunt for Top 4
Heavy investment is not a guarantee. Look at Spurs not improving that much footballwise. You payed over 20M for Facking Fellaini. .
But yes United will have a clear out in the next summer.
I don't mean to dampen the mood even more, but RVP did not even seem great at the start of the season but it just seemed fine because he was scoring goals.
Kent- I got slaughtered for predicting you to finish 4th the other day.
Just seen Segunda, I know people big up every league's competitiveness- but 6pts separates eleven clubs!
What I really meant with my £200m comment is that if you take Man Utd 2008 and you add up the value of all the players and the manager at that time, and you do the same for 2014 United- the net difference is £200m in value. Well about that for me...
Kent
Spurs at still in with a shout.
What makes anyone think that Man Utd have £200m to invest? Analysis of their stock doesn't suggest it. Man Utd are still paying £50m+ on debt repayments.
I think Man Utd chose Moyes because he had a reputation of getting the best out of players on a tight budget. Moyes has never spent big. So where are they going to get this £200m+ from?
