At times in life, there just happens to be some things that are bigger than football. And anyway one can show their sorrows and respects then so be it.

Agreed, but the opposite can also be accepted. Should a team or person feel armbands to be unnecessary to show their respect, I don't think that should be blown up by the media.

Well in honestly, yeah. I was highlighting how stupid it seems that Chelsea FC can manage to cancel their title victory parade in respect of what happened and also public safety but then 'forget' to wear black arm bands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No doubt, stupid, but not the end of the world.

Since what happened, football is being used to milk the tragedy and unnecessarily link it.. Like what BT did the other night in the Europa final. Totally went overboard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree about the over milking it like by BT Sport the other night.

No need for constant reminding/highlighting numerous times for what the match meant, we all knew this beforehand. Just a 'once over' would have been ideal. No one is ignorant enough to forget this. And this is what i was also trying to highlight - one minute silence and black armbands worn and then no need to mention again. Do it 'subtly' and with class and dignity

I understand this, but sometimes especially in media form - visual signs of respects speaks volumes to the watching eyes. Just to do it subtly and classy is all i ask.
