I didnt expect much for us from this WC so extatic with the semis.

A bit sad to go out like that though, our best young players are attackers, and we started the competition playing to that strength.

After the group stages I feel we abandoned that, and after getting our noses in front tried to defend 1-0 leads. We got punished against columbia we got punished more today.

Thought rashford was poor when he came on, it broke down our forward momentum, im biased towards hendo but he was amazing first half against two midfielders and was cream crackered in the second.

The young sub was far later than i would have liked, and vardy when he came on looked a better fit than rashford.

Still it was an encouraging competition for us, just wish we had gone for games a bit more when innyhe ascendancy

I tipped England to win this as I wasn't impressed by Croatia, but I wouldn't have been surprised to see Croatia win. What has surprised me is Croatia outclassing England.

Don't believe the hype and don't buy into the optimism - except those u17/u20/u21 successes can break through. The "golden generation" are miles better than this side. This team were only lucky to get a joke of a fixture list to the semis.
