I think that’s due to Kovacic and Barkley offering fack all in attack at the moment. Kante is the only one in there that can ghost into dangerous attacking positions.

I don’t think he wants to convert Hazard otherwise Chelsea wouldn’t be signing Higuain. He just has a very low opinion of Giroud and Morata. But Chelsea actually look better with Morata on the pitch. I think Sarri has made a mistake with Hazard through the middle. Shadow of the player he can be.

I havent said that Sarri's plan is to play Hazard as a false no. 9. He played there because Sarri doesnt trust Morata or Giroud in the first place as you pointed out.

Morata got more minutes than Giroud to prove Sarri wrong this season but he failed massively allthough he is more mobile than Giroud. Hazard is playing better with Giroud though because he is less egocentric.

We will see how it pans out if Higuain replacing both.
