They've had a very busy domestic schedule with not a lot of rest. Cant think of anything else that would cause that to a fit professional footballer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i certainly think the v busy schedule and lack of rest has been a big mistake
players health has been neglected imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just made a similar comment above.

The tournament should have been scrapped when it couldn't go ahead last year. The rest periods have been a joke. United players were playing on empty for weeks in the run in. There was nothing left in the tank.

Huge credit to the Denmark players forming a ring around him, they know how scuuuumy these broadcasters are

Whoever is responsible for the TV broadcast should be sacked.

There should have been a protocol, it's not out of the realms of possibility something like this happens. It should have been cut within a minute.

The game schedule has nothing to do with a young person having a cardiac arrest. Playing lots of games can cause many things, it doesn’t make your heart stop.

posted on 12/6/21

They actually had zoom ins of the treatment despite the Danish players trying to block it.
Obviously not the BBC but they could have cut coverage.

Looked like a sudden ruptured aneurysm… horrendous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah it could be that
but dont pro footy players have echocardiograms on their heart regularly?
an aneurysm would be picked up

think it's more likely ventricular fibrillation that has caused it tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
May not have been in his heart; when he collapsed on the floor his eyes were wide open, could have been in the brain.

Then again as much as we know could have reduced blood flow to the brain, so the problem could have originated in the heart…

Facking vultures zooming in on Schmeichel consoling Eriksen's wife. Absolute cvnts.

posted on 12/6/21

A lot of these that I’ve read about have ended up as undetected pre existing conditions. It might seem like it happens to pro footballers a lot, but maybe because that’s because they’re in the public eye more???

The cameras looking at his wife in tears was so heartless

The media are ghouls at times

Utterly disgusting and the BBC continued to show it. Disgraceful.

An what about the average Joe working 40-50-60 hours per week?

Give over these guys play football and that's it. Have access to the best of everything and get paid 100k per WEEK.

They would not know the meaning of overworked.

I don’t think the BBC control the cameras but they should’ve cut to the studio straight away, a man is fighting for his life on the pitch

There’s a picture of Eriksen sitting up while being stretchered off but not sure if it’s real yet so won’t post until I know it is.

I think it was poor but I’m not sure it’s a sacking offence
Yes someone should have asked why we were still watching
Ffs even the horse racing doesn’t show bad falls etc anymore if it looks like it’s serious
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They don’t show streakers these days ffs, it’s pretty obvious that they shouldn’t be showing that.

Whoever is in control of the whats showing on the cameras for the BBC should face disciplinary.

If there was a live broadcasting of other horiffic scenes going on in the news, they'd cut asap. Should have been the same today.

thank God for that, do they know exactly what happened?

The cameras were awful. The only thing I can think of is that people at the BBC and/or the broadcasters didn’t grasp the seriousness of the situation.
