Agreed Paisley. We suffer when Johnson is not playing. With His condition he would still be better than Flanagan. There would no creativity in the middle missing Johnson Enrique and Coutinho.
Not feeling quite so confident now I've seen the line up. Flanno is never a wingback, more of a sending off candidate.
I think we should wait until the game is over before judging young players.
One thing that does please me though is Arsenal's shocking bench..
Toor
Heck of a game to pitch the young lad into though...he must have been pulling up trees in training.
Wont be here much today. Only wanted to say wish us all a good game.
Actually not nervous. Win/lose doesn't really bare much on our season. We aren't their rivals, we're not contending for the title like I would say they are. And Arsenal away is a match where losing is 'acceptable' in the sense where I'd rather win all our home matches against the bottom 10 rather than win this match away.
I'd be happy with a draw unless some ridiculous situation occurs or we throw away another 2-0 lead. Despite all that I am still quietly confident that we can win this.

We pitched him against United and Arsenal previously and he did very well.

A bit too pessimistic mate.
ARE
He's been training with the squad for years and Rodgers knows exactly what he's capable of. It's not like he's picked a kid out of the academy and shoved him onto the pitch.
Personally I'm just happy to be involved in a top of the table clash.
Toor
Hope he does, it would be nice to see the lad come back from a rough start.
What's pessimistic about that? I basically said that this match isn't really all that important in the long run of our season. Hence why I am not nervous.
And we have Johnson, Coutinho & Agger on the bench @Arsenal. And I said I would be happy with a draw but still slightly confident we could win...
Don't get your point...
Agree with silky,agreeing with TOOR!
Anyway, we'll see whether or not BR's faith in young Flanno was justified after the game.. let's have a good one lads
Oh and Arsenal fans best of luck for the season, starting from around 7.30 tonight
