You lot can never seem to make your mind up on Luiz, he seems to swing from one of the best around to unrealiable back up and back to being great again.
Can be quality on his day but usually has some pretty sloppy mistakes in his locker...
Why is Hazard competing with Lampard for a place in the starting XI
Hazard in an attacking set up as stated
Luiz is simultaneously our best and worst CB, for me. Right now his form isn't good but I'm sure it'll improve. When it does, he'll be a definite starter
Cstp
That's in a more defensive set up
Read carefully
What attacking set up would that be? A third winger to go along with Willian and Schurrle?
Luis has never impressed, apart from a a few moments in a few games, Cahill is much more solid.
For the attacking set up do you mean this:
-----------Ramires
--------Mata Hazard----
Willian-------------Schurrle
------------Torres
Obers
How many times does hazard come inside and how may does he keep our width
I could understand your point if you had Oscar playing deep with Ramires instead of Mata. Oscar would be more suited to the role
"Luis has never impressed, apart from a a few moments in a few games, Cahill is much more solid."
Silly misconception.
Been watching too much MOTD.
If Hazard is not playing on the wing, I don't see how we could fit Mata and Hazard in the side. It would be so unbalanced
As in
Rami Oscar
Willian Hazard Schurrle
As an attacking team.

I we have an attacking set up I see no reason for 2 defensive mids
I wouldn't say Cahill is a better player than Luiz I do think he is a more solid defender though...
That's what an opposition fan, who doesn't watch both of them regularly would say.
Oscar is not a defensive mid people don't want him playing there because he's considered TOO attacking.
There's too much of a gap between defence & attack if you have just pure defenders and then lots of number 10s.
It's all ifs buts and whens with luiz. When he improves, if he concentrates, when he's on his game blah blah blah.
Luiz is infinitely better than Cahill as a defender in every sense.
