Buy Out

Being owned by a super rich owner is fast losing its value. I always thought that the only way our previous system of football would survive is if all teams were taken over by oil rich sheiks.

So, if we are to be bought, lets hope it is a super rich, throw money at it, owner and dip into the pool of limited super talent.

There are only a certain number of "world class" or super skilled players out there, and when they are watered down to any one of 100 clubs then there will cease to be any advantage in having more money than you know what to do with.

People forget that we have a super rich owner in Joe Lewis.

Raptor, people do not forget. They understand, however, that Joe Lewis bought a football club and expects it to be run as a business, not his personal plaything.

Does he ever attend a match?

If the club was to be sold it would be a few years away yet.

I am not too concerned Lewis has started to pump good money into the club, look into the financing of the training ground. He is taking a more active interest too.

I am ecstatic the club is owned by a billionaire because we are safe financially yet we do not throw money about like confetti.

Also ecstatic that our chairman is not only financially astute but a Spurs fan.

You see all the praise Dave Whelan gets in the media for Wigan. Levy never gets enough praise.

For the record Daniel Levy lives in America New York and Florida. Which is why he makes so many trips.

Could you guys imagine having Alan Sugar still in charge!?

an incompetent nut job like Vincent Tan at Cardiff

No thanks! Don't want to see our shirt colour changed to something of favour with the owner, especially if that also ends up being red.

And we already have an original name (Hotspur) so we do not need a Hull City Tigers style rebrand.

There is only one HOTSPUR but plenty of Uniteds, Citys, Rovers, Towns etc

It would fill me with horror that our club could be brought by a rich ruskie or arab and just used as a plaything like Chelsea and City. I am quite happy our club is run as it is, plenty of money to spend without overspending and being vulgar with the money like City and Chelsea.

The way that it seems we're being grown as a brand, with us being referred to as just "Spurs" instead of Tottenham more & more.

that seals it for me.

Tbh, it does annoy me that we are known as Spurs on Fifa etc, as opposed to our proper name Tottingham Hotspurs.
