He'll probably pride himself on us having plenty of possession again and delude himself that we've not been playing poorly, we've been unlucky. We don't look any better now than we did in August. Was tempted not to watch the game today due to the poor performances but thought I'd stick with it, will follow my instinct next time because we're awful to watch and easy to defend against. Sick of it
Bad result fella, I'm stunned with whats going on, i thought ok Bale has gone but you bought in same decent lads.
Fingers crossed we do you a favour later, otherwise the Goönies wont contain themselves.

Your tactical nouse would be better served on football manager than on here.
I think AVB should just concentrate on the cups this season. Top four is not on now, you cannot lose at home to West Ham and Newcastle and expect anything other than maybe 7th or 8th.
Full strength teams in the cup, try to pick up some silveware.

Towsend needs benching, he was just running into blind alleys today, no end product.

We are struggling in the cup though aren't we? 8-7 in penalties against a newly promoted team? Totally pathetic.
People on here will hide behind the "Krul had a great game" line but if a shot/header is well enough executed then it dosn't get saved.
I agree about trying Townsend on the left rather than benching him. He's still a decent player and was heavily marked in this game. Give Lennon a chance on the right so you have 2 players with pace on either side.
Lamela should not be behind anyone based on his form midweek and the form from the players ahead of him today. Try him behind the striker instead of Eriksen who was completely pants.
Fair play to Newcastle today who deserved the win and soaked up the pressure when they had the goal to hang on to
