macnWoohoo how did Man City get on against Man Utd recently They look s
Man City looked scared thats all.
Man City won 6 of the last 7 games in all competitions but the game they didn't score was against us. To be fair LVG might be wanting us to break the 1311 minutes without conceding record of Edwin Van der Saar or be it someone else scored against another goalkeeper in that run.
Why is a bot responding to me?

£250M+
We talking about City's greater net spending than us?
Still a work in progress damn right, have they even won a knockout tie in the CL yet
Maybe if City spend half a billion extra than United they could actually win a knockout tie then!
Actually let's be serious here, maybe if they outspend United by a billion then they could make a quarter final or some other great acheievement...

I'm sure you used to shout about the cost of your squad when you were actually winning stuff...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was probably City fans again, who all of a sudden had a dramatic shift in attitude regarding spending...
From United were just successful because we were like the 3rd highest spenders in England to Cotys success is all earned after outspending almost everyone in England to ridicolous degrees...
Although in fairness maybe some of you guys aren't hypocrites, maybe some of you weren't City fans before the takeover

LVG is not concerned as we created chances.
As in against Middlesborough and we need to finish. To be fair we could easily have won the last 3 games 1-0.
Success for both was because of how much they spent. I'm not convinced that the football observatories figures are right though.
I doubt there's much in the net spend either, at least by in the last five seasons. If going further back than that, then you have to include inflation so I'm not sure exactly what timeframe people are talking about there.
The rags tend to concentrate on the era when we were building our squad whilst Fergie was allowing United's to go to seed.
Lot of contributing factors as well which make it an incomparable really, particularly to being concerned now or not...
With Chelsea's self implosion, neither should be overly concerned results wise. Entertainment wise, as Saf said, is a bit different.
They need a long term injury to Rooney really.
We spent big, started playing some of the most entertaining football I've ever seen and started winning a few trophies.
Any criticism about the away we went about things goes in one ear and out the other - I look at it as payback for 30 years of mostly misery.
Ditto. Odd that people don't ever mention that got took out of club in that time due to poor owners, only the flip side...

Go back much further than that if you want, United never spent to the levels City have since their takeover.
Quarter of a billion net spend difference since the takeover, most expensive squad in Britain as well, not that the latter statistic means anything but some City fans were certainly convinced last year.
Your net spend will always be somewhat skewd by the sale of Ronaldo which turned out to be a retrograde step anyway.
Our net spend was lower then man city since SAF became manager more years lower then it was higher then Man City.
I've read less confusing text in the small print of insurance policies.
I remember our net spend from 1986 to 1998 was only £4m.
I can't remember what I had for my tea.
No it wasn't hafi, where on earth have you got 4m?
Again, odd years to choose though. I wonder why you stopped there...
I'll reiterate though, I don't think we are the most expensive squad still as I think that is using the all in figure for Sterling and Roberts and not for Martial.
That's if it is using the football observatories figures, which the papers seemed to do when they talked about it in September.
Boris I seem to be remember too much. I can remember most of man utd games match stats in last few years or scorelines in past 9 years.
