SE85 has Tourettes. He bangs on about the same things daily.

Even if his verbal tics bears no relevance to the subject at hand, he will try to bring it in as a tangential point.

Look up "tangential speech". This is why he's as dumb as he sounds.

Wouldn't mind if the op was actually witty or cleverly done, as it is, it's more like he looked at the table, saw United were a point above us, and spunked out this article as quickly as he could without thinking it through...

... and then there's W&R doing his "mind the gap" business. The same "mind the gap" when we were 11 points behind them in 2012.

You'd have thought he'd have learnt...

You seem to be imploding on your own board these days.
How stupid do you feel now?

Since you wrote this classic piece of literature, City have won 9 points and United have won 2.

Please post in a similar vein on a weekly basis. Ta.

Moyzin.

Booooooooooooooooooooooo.

... And now, with Moyles being the manager least likely to attract the best players, most of the united fans now call for Glazers to stump up huge money at any cost.
I guess any of the contradictory rhetorics about how they've never bought the league now comes home to roost once again.
All moral conscience now goes out the window it seems. Bring out the mercs.
You are a class A buffoon.

Boris Man city history would have been so different while man utd were winning the treble with 2 lates goals against bayern munich you were scoring 2 late goals against gillingham. How spooky.

...yes, and look at us now.

Has Bet Fred paid out yet? Surely after United's dominance today, number 21 is in the bag.

No. Hang on...

Mancwoohoo in fairness I don't think anyone was proposing the kind of spending that would bring us anywhere near the spending levels of City and Chelsea....

Maybe a good bit closer to half of what you've spent in recent years...

posted on 8/12/13

Half would be ok right?

posted on 8/12/13

Oh half...
That's all you needed to say. That's fine - that's well outside to what's considered to be hypocritical.

posted on 8/12/13

We would of course all ignore the fact that you'd already have the most expensive goalkeeper in English football history, most expensive defender, most expensive teenager, and most expensive serial diver on your books.

posted on 8/12/13

... the most expensive tramp, and the record fee for a midfield balloon.

posted on 8/12/13

......most expensive 29 year old.

Good job you got Anderson and Nani on the cheap. ;

posted on 8/12/13

Ahh yes but you have the most expensive Nasri, the most expensive first choice England goalkeeper called Hart, the most expensive Kolarov that has a good left foot on him and the 2nd most expensive Silva...

You also previously bought.....

The worlds most expensive Roque Santa Cruz, worlds most expensive Robinho, worlds most expensive Jo...

Anyway this is all getting miles away from what I originally said, which was that no the United fans are not being hypocritical because none of them are asking for the insane spending levels of City and Chelsea just something a bit closer to half their spending

posted on 8/12/13

Which of course is ok, half the spending of 5 billion pounds is approved under Section 54 Paragraph 7 in the 'Ethics' Chapter of the critically acclaimed book 'Manchester United and the Lies They Tell'.

How much did United's present squad cost?

posted on 8/12/13

To construct?

Can't remember the figures off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure our net spend over the last 10 years is a good bit under half that of City and Chelsea...

posted on 8/12/13

Of course, but thats a completely pointless comment because you have had a title winning squad for two decades and have only needed to add one or two big name big money players to that every couple of years. City on the other hand are trying to turn a club which has been relegation fodder for overtwo decades into a European powerhouse. You would expect that to cost more, wouldn't you?
