I'm pretty sure beating a strong Liverpool side and last year's Champions League finalists on their own patch probably took it out of us. Unlike United who could afford to play weakened sides against title contenders Fulham and the Spanish giants that are Real Sociedad.

The loss today was disappointing, but overall, it's been a pretty good week for us.

United deserved the win but the scoreli e was fair we were better but not a huge amount.

Absolutely agree with you on this. He wasn't great, neither was the linesman. Booking Jones when chesney collided with him, not awarding a penalty when Giroud fouled Rooney, awarding a corner for Arsenal when Gibbs shanked a cross straight into DDG's arms. Very dodgy.
