Soldado is a good player. Not his fault he has got the likes of Paulinho, Dembele, Sandro, Lennon, Chadil and Ericksen creating nothing for him.
If he had Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Walcott creating chances he would be scoring tons of tap ins.
Also how is Loldado meant to score when the spurs team is playing so defensively? They play with Sandro, Paulinho & Dembele in the middle hardly the creative force people would think.

Soldado has only moved to this country. New league, new playing tempo. All the excuses afforded to Giroud last year.
Only difference is, Giroud has a years experience under his belt, and still looks awful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But dont forget that Soldado takes penalties whereas Giroud doesn't, without his penalties this wouldn't even be a discussion!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hunting, Giroud has improved from last year. No doubt. But back then and still now he is not Arsenal standard. I don't know if our expectations and standards have slipped so much that we can still rate Giroud as a top striker, but he isn't. He is slow, static and for the lats 3-4 matches isn't even holding up the ball anymore.
And his finishing has been rank average. The Liverpool miss summed it up.
Now Spurs have massively overpaid for Soldado, no doubt. But his quality has never been in question. His record in Spain speaks for itself. When given the chance, he will at least test the keeper. He is, by far and away, the better finisher compared to Giroud.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I understand where you're coming from Soldado has proven pedigree compared to Giroud.
But some players aren't suited to the premiership, eg Shevchenko, Moreintes, Batista etc.
Not saying Soldado wont make it in the prem, but its not ludicrous to suggest that Giroud might adapt better to the English league than Soldado.
Based on reputation and what we've seen from Soldado in the past, i would agree that he's a better and more clinical striker and most importantly more mobile.
Also how is Loldado meant to

------
Spurs are far from defensive. They almost always dominate territory and possession and keep opponents on the backfoot. They just happen to be slow and unimaginative in their build up play, which makes them boring. But they are still an offensive side.

Also thought this.
They battered Newcastle possesion wise and had the ball in their final 3rd for 60% of the match, yet Soldado did close to nothing - one missed header and a half decent dummy to Eriksen.
I'm always right. This place seems to have taken its toll on you.

Sheriff, last comment from me on this article. Its a question of taste, too. Soldado is easy on the eye compared to Giroud. OG is completely underrated with his contributions to our team. He may not score enough recently we will see how it pants our by the end of this season but put away his assistence from our goalscoring account and we wouldnt be at the top of the table. He is a completely different striker to what we had in the past and compared to other teams playing as a lone striker. People forget that too.
Completely different players in style, intelligence, technique. Giroud is a better player, Soldapop is probaby a better finisher.
Giroud is miles better than Soldado at the minute
Think I'd rather have David Ngog back than Soldado. Ngog scored in open play against teams like Arsenal and Man Utd. Soldado scores penalties against Crystal Palace and Hull.
Ngog > Soldado
I remember plenty of arsenal fans saying soldado was better than giroud, bet you feel stupid now
Giroud is an awful footballer.
Soldado is a superior finisher who is being starved of service.
Soldado is not a footballer
