Vertonghen was one of the best defenders last season, better than Kos. However they've swapped this season and Kos has been superb whilst Vertonghen can't even convince his manager to play him at CB so he's playing LB.

I think Vermaelen vs Vertonghen is a better comparison but I wouldn't swap, I'd still expect Vertonghen to be 4th choice at Arsenal.

You clearly have no idea if you think AVB does not trust Vertonghan at CB. He said recently that he is the best CB he has worked with and is only playing LB because Rose is injured and we don't have another LB otherwise he would be playing CB.

Verts along with Lloris is the first name on the team sheet.
