I like my Weissbier, Erdinger in particular, unfortunately you struggle to buy it on tap in this country so I have to make a trip to Germany at least once a year.
I generally drink Guiness in a bar, but I do like a good pub that serves local ales, or a nice dry cider.
I never drink larger, although whilst travelling down under, I did like the larger. They have 'dry' versions on most latgers which are really refreshing, if you ever come across Hahns Super Dry, try it, Tooheys dry is decent too and is sold in Walkabout.

I've tried the weissbier, they serve on draft in a local bar but I can't really get a taste for it.

Only 22 but been raised on ales by my dad for years... Love Doombar, Old Crafty Hen and Fursty Ferrett. Normally prefer the golden ales, new fave is Wainwright from Thwaites I think.

It's an acquired taste, i don't think it travels well either. Went to the German market in Brum on Friday and it wasn't nearly as good as in Germany.
As lager goes Stella does have a good taste to it but most of the Fosters, Carling, Kronenbourg stuff is pretty tasteless to me.

Likewise, if I'm in a bar and they got something I haven't tried I'll give it a go. Variety is the spice of life and all that.
Anybody remember carling premier.

The terms American and Beer should never be used together for a reason.

weißbier has to be poured properly and you need a proper glass, otherwise it wont work

To be fair, it's widely thought that America makes the best craft beer in the world. I definitely agree it does
I used to like becks, but that 4% becks is horrendous.
