Spot on.
I've grown up 'hating' Wolves. Wolves is always the big one, for me.
But my for my Dad and Uncles it is and always will be Villa. He just sees Wolves as another game!
I've certainly always seen Villa as a big game and it's only growing with us closing the gap these last few years.
Yes as a Villa fan who went to matches when both teams were battling out at the top of the division then yes some of the comments are fair.
But the big difference I find is that the Villa v Blues derby is far more hostile than the Villa v WBA game and has always been so during my time.
As I live near Lichfield I come across far more Albion and Wolves fans than Blues supporters, but nobody can tell me the atmosphere compares to Villa v Blues games.
I haven't missed a local Derby for 25 years and took one of my Albion mates to a Villa v Blues game and he couldn't believe the total hatred the two sets of supporters seem to have for each other, which in my opinion isn't a good thing.
Going to the Hawthornes there will be a good atmosphere, but not intimidating in the least, where as at St Andrews you watch your back.
villa are the 3rd team in the west midlands.
west brom 1st
then Birmingham, as they have recently won a trophy and performed in Europe.
villa third
Current standings in the West Midlands:
1. Albion
2. Villa
3. Birmingham
4. Wolves
5. Walsall
6. Coventry
If I was a betting man i'd put my money on this being the same come the end of the season and rightly so!
birminghams recent trophy haul suggests that they are bigger than little aston villa, who won a European cup once upon a time.
Hello Chronic
You really are in I hate the Villa mood
You need to chill out

Bigger in terms of recent bragging rights of course. The Baggies have loved there tiny moment in the sun after about 100 years! It's all they live for at the moment, to finish higher than Villa.
History of Baggies rivalry hardly matters to me as all I've known is the true big match of the midlands at that is Villa V Blues. It's the biggest, the best, the ugliest, the most hostile, the most dangerous and the bragging rights far surpass anything Villa V WBA can deliver.
It's that simple.
Nothing beats Villa V Blues.
And Villa will ALWAYS be the Midlands Big Kahuna's

thanks for the annual 6 points
Midlands recognise, you plank Chronic. I wasn't talking about Clubs outside of it. Ohhhh Spurs, the leagues ultimate bottlers you make it soooooo easy for everyone on here.
Still No 3 in London. Never be No 4 again in the League
110 million
Giving it the big one over us. A team that has been assembled for peanuts!
110 million for a shower of 5h1TE. More bottlers for The Premierships most bottling Club
AVB out articles already after you we're creaming over him
Begging for old wobbly chops to come back after you couldn't wait to see the back of him
Apparently under that Del Boy tax dodging tapping up t055er you can play like Barca and can win The League
Spurs fans in cuckoo land as usual
Chronic, why do you do it to yourself?
Spurs
now now bumble, settle down.
some day soon you will beat spurs again
if I were you I would settle for scoring a goal against us first though
Nice one Bumble
I am not sure what all the fuss is about, Baggies is a Derby but our real derby for whatever reason is Blouse.
Baggies are elated that temporarily they may appear top team in West Midlands let them have their fun.
Tottenham's underachievers should get another massive setback Sunday so at least we can enjoy that first
UTV
For Baggies fans see spurs fans, both forever in the shadow of their A grade rivals.
villa are a bit like arsenal in as much as that they never win anything
at least arsenal compete at the top end though, rather than entertain relegation scraps every season like "massive" villa
Surprised you have time for ja606 as it must take a while walking around spurs massive trophy room 😙
If fair play was to apply at least we are probably going the right way
In this corrupt society we live in it won't so we have to live with it.
Villa are going to play younger players good luck to them
Some of them are from abroad but we have a great youth set up.
If English youth were introduced into the premiership gradually we would not have such a poor National side.
Wont happen till the moneee bubble bursts

villa are not doing it through choice though. you are doing it because you pissssed all your money up the wall , and now have no choice.
They've managed to cling to Premiership football for the last 2 seasons though so at least they've had a stay of execution.
Question is, how long will it last until they join the giants of West Midlands football like Walsall, Wolves and Coventry?
