Its the 10 year olds that would of been impacted the most by the academy change, not 16year olds.

If it's based on quality of players coming through its ridiculous..
Considering they started 5? Years ago and the youngest age group is the under 7's? You won't see the true graduates of their Coaching styles for 13 years (19/20 year olds to join the squad)
It's a bit like this silly fa panel being set up three years after the elite player performance plan was bought into place, it's taken 10 years for Germany to see the fruits of their overhaul, and that included poaching players from neighbouring country's!!!
Exactly insert!
I know rap, I seriously hope they have someone up there sleeve
By 13 years I mean another 8 year's from now
Why on earth are FSG being brought into the arguement? Surely the manager of the football club has control of the over all structure of the clubs coaching staff!
Changes happen all the time in the staff.
Don't see the big deal personally.
Makes me laugh when people say things like 'he was doing a great job', as if they know.
Obviously dont remember how shīte the academy was 5 years ago.
I give FSG the benefit of the doubt and some bell end tells me to feck off!
You only post when something bad happens.
I don't think it's the owners. I would say it's to do with the manager and board. We should all remember BR was a youth and knows what it takes.
And rodolfo only was the first non catalan youth team manager, he will end up at citys eds squad, hes good friends wih txixi (however you spell it)
Ilori.
It's debatable whether its bad or not.
As I said previously, I'm not convinced that its bad news. It was a lot worse when they binned off Heighway after he bought through Fowler, Gerrard, McManaman, Owen et al.
Rumour has it that they are both going to mcfc, and it was found out that they were negotiating with mcfc, therefore they were let go.

Just hope we get a good replacement in
If some of the rumours are true It does worry me that BR is seemingly exerting so much influence on decisions. He lacks the required experience. Hopefully, they've got someone exceptional lined up as replacement.
The state of the academy just scratches the surface in terms of what we as fans see.
It doesn't mean they were doing a great job individually (not saying they weren't, just that I don't know so can't comment on any decision to sack them).
If the Man C stuff is true it's probably their revenge for us nicking their scouting department.
I'm not trying to wind anybody up, but has the academy actually been that successful? From what I can see of Liverpool, they still have no decent academy graduates in the first team? I know Kelly has been ok, but injured, and sterling has been good in patches, but the likes of Robinson, Flanagan et al have not exactly set the world on fire. Suso looked competent, but he was sent to spain to get more game time wasnt he? It's all well and good a youth team winning youth trophies, but if no players make the grade with the first team, then the academy is not being successful. really, is the academy actually doing that well? Who is going to be a first team regular in the next 3 years in your opinion? And does the productivity of the academy justify all this hysteria around these sackings?
If the system is in place (which apparently it is) then changing some of the composite parts should not have that much of an effect.
I think Kenny could slot into the role of Academy director, it would be nice to see Steve Heighway return as well.
Liverpool echo today has the story, but zero on official lfc website. I think Borrel was better hands on, not as director. Wait and see who arrives, will be interesting if King Kenny is involved, or maybe Carra?
I'd love to see John Barnes bought back in some capacity. I think he's got so much to offer in the right post.
I have no idea what they are like as coaches as I have not worked with them.
John Barnes does a lot of good PR work for the club, here and abroad. Does he have up to date coaching qualifications.?
