Denis that's partly true but no one will complain if the ref does his job.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'll always get people complaining. I guarentee if something similar happened next week, and Suarez was sent off in the 8th minute, for a kick out, Liverpool fans would be in uproar because it 'ruined' the game.
jay,
i wonder what he is going to write in his report of the match? can't really go with violent behaviour so i booked him, or i didn't see the incident clearly, or i let him off because he plays for man united. like most football fans, i am just struggling to see what possible reasoning he could give.
if it is a bad tackle then there is always a level of subjectivity to the decision because it is easier to say you weren't sure just how dangerous it was (unless the player has launched both feet at the opponents testicles from 30 yards). if it is a kick off the ball (no pun intended) then the offence itself can only merit a red card. there's no real degree of decision making, other than to misapply the laws of the game in favour of the guy earning £250,000 per week at the current champions.
Wow the bluenoses are wound up on here.

Bottom line is, if somebody straight forward asked that referee why he booked Rooney at all, then he could then be advised that he has not fully understood the rules laid down by the FA.
The only answer the referee would be able to give, is that he booked Rooney for kicking out at a player off the ball, which is a red card.
If the ref hadnt booked Rooney at all, then he may have had a leg to stand on, but he did, so he hasn't.

That may be the case in an ideal world, but as Jay alluded to, as football fans, WE(yes I include myself) are extremely biased. I've heard refs being slated for giving United penalties even when they were stone-wall. That is something that probably never change, it seems that the ref will upset a group of supporters, regardless of how sound his decision is.

He'll probably say it looked like a challenge from behind without the ball, hence the booking. Though it wont stack up, the referee is now in an incredibly tough spot to get out of. It was certainly a red.
Your second paragraph I agree with to a degree, though I would suggest that no matter who it was, I don't think they'd have been sent off so early.
The funny thing is, before this derby happened they were all saying that Suarez's goal that was disallowed last season justifies him not being sent off. So therefore that's a clean slate and this does not even anything up at all.
i suspect some liverpool fans would say that it wasn't even a foul and others would hold their head in their hands and think why is suarez so good but soooo stupid! i don't think many supporters with even half a brain or the most basic understanding of the laws would argue that a red card shouldn't be given because it is too early and it might spoil the match.
if that is an acceptable interpretation, then palace, hull, cardiff, norwich, fulham et al., should all go out and kick the oppositions best player in the first few minutes every week. who'd like to bet how many of those sides would escape a straight red in those circumstances?
both incidents were contact with the foot and in real time, look like nothing, hence why no action was taken.
Suarez was booked for one of them tackles you idiot, and even Hamann claimed he should have seen red. He was then sent abuse from the best fans in the world for airing his opinions.
I'm positive no referee deliberately makes bad decisions
--------------------------------
I'm not.
That's a good point. If someone complains about decisions if we had video it wouldn't be too surprising.

There will always be idiots who are completely biased irrespective of what has happened.
In general, regardless of the clubs involved, refereeing at the moment is a really poor standard.
I don't think the powers that be actually care though, because they want the controversy.

Who posted that? Considering there's only 4 Evertonians (so we're told)on here,it won't be hard to name them.

watch them again alas. particularly the distin one where his foot gets caught on the boot. it happens all the time...its not intentional
of course, it has to be for you lot to defend the disallowed goal and then mirallas assaulting him this year doesnt it

Fell definitely used that argument.
Please fellow reds just filter the bitter clowns like I did ages ago.
They are ruining a fair debate about the standard of refereeing.
I'm pretty sure you also stated this, Alas.

That is a good way to brush it off. We could also have old classics like, you win some you lose some and decisions even out over the season. Or we could say the ref DIDN'T WANT to send Rooney off, which is what actually happened. We could then hope to find out the reasoning for this.
When Suarez scored last season against Everton, the assistant knew he wasn't offside, he just didn't want to give it.
It happens often where the officials decide what they want to do, with complete disregard to the rules. These are the officials who need to be made example of.
I know you can't see it but if eventually becomes even and you get the decisions against you like the rest of the league, minus Arsenal, who get more than you do as the lovely club who don't spend money and play only 16 year olds., you'll understand what I mean.
Alas, do you suck on lemons to stay extremely bitter?
You lot have done nothing but moan about yesterdays results, yet you call us bitter?
I haven't read one post by an Evertonian that said Mirallas didn't deserve a red for his tackle. I am so glad it happened tho. Now Liverpool fans and Suarez knows what it feels like to be hard done by.
