Do we really need a striker in January?
We have Podolski and Walcott, who both can play up there.
Read Wenger's interview on Arsenal.com. He said he has to mixed it up in the upcoming games. We will have to take a strong team in Napoli.

If we can get someone in the mould of Suarez then yes.
Arteta should be on the bench or the starting 11 not thereserves but its hard to pick who to take out
Yep we need a striker.
Bendtner is our facking back up striker
I've said for a while that a big name signing could disrupt the balance of the team. All the players know how to play the arsenal way.
I was thinking the same 8bit when santi and theo came on. Good article
Ozil signing didn't exactly disrupt the team did it
our squad isnt so much thin as unbalanced
We are still a Giroud/Mert/Ches injury away from looking like we're missing somehting
Flamini for me is a definite starter.
We have theo and pod back. They are top draw strikers. I'd rather have a right back/central defender.
I think after Walcott got injured, our team's shape looked better, and the players seemed to have a better understanding.
With Walcott in the side, the whole team looked lopsided and a lot of moves broke down on his flank. If we can get a player like Reus who can occupy that position, then we should do so in a heartbeat.

Without Walcott we have zero wing play as all our midfielders want to come back into the middle
With Walcott in our side he brings something hairy defenders fear more than waxing of the bolox is pace. It seems that we have to score the perfect goal all the time.
Why do people still make out that Walcott is a hindrance to the team
Theo is important for his pace but Ox has much more talent imo and will overtake him soon. If we get Reus in the summer then it's difficult to see where Theo fits in.

And yet we look more solid as a side, we're keeping the ball better and we're still scoring goals. And besides, Arsenal's best play tonight came from the right wing, where Wilshere was playing.
And all this talk about Walcott's pace being this dazzling, irreplaceable factor in the side... when did that last actually apply? Since the new contract, he only busts a gut if he can get into a scoring position, otherwise he just won't bother.
It's like saying if we get Suarez where will Giroud fit.
Not many wide players can get you 20 goals and 14 assists in a season
Theo's game is all about the end product though so he needs those stats because he doesn't really add anything special in general play or linking up with others. I'm not knocking him, he's already proved me wrong because I used to slate so much and he's improved a lot.. but he has his limitations and I would swap him for someone like Reus in a hearbeat.

His 20 goals last season came in 15 games. That's 15 games, when he played a total of 40. And more than half of his goals came against clubs in the bottom 5 or the lower leagues.
Reus and Walcott on the flanks would be a lot of fun to watch
. Wenger is so right when he says that everyone is obsessed with just buying as the only way to improve, I love how he how he just does his own thing even when 99% of people tell him he's wrong. The potential in the team looks frightening with such a young squad and the ability to add a special player when we need to. building a team >>>> buying a team

This is why Wenger is one of the greatest managers of all time and has my respect no matter what.

Yeah let's just pretend like those stats never happened.
Ps: he scored against the following also
Liverpool
Chelsea
Tottenham
Man united
