Yeah let's just pretend like those stats never happened.

Well, they did. Go and check if you don't believe me.
People wanting to drop Theo
His 20 goals last season came in 15 games. That's 15 games, when he played a total of 40.
--------------------------------------------
Wow! Bit of a desperate way to rationalize stats.
Still can't believe people don't see what Theo brings to our side. Against orgainzed, compact teams who press the ball well, we need off the ball runners willing to get behind the opposing defence, keeping them stretched, uncertain and on their toes. In certain games, the opposition can be rather comfortable defending against us and squezing high up the pitch due to a lack of outlets that can exploit the space they leave behind their defence. Walcott also brings goals to the team.
I despair at times.

Sheriff, the point I'm making is that Walcott's form normally comes in pockets. It's rarely a consistent flow of goals or assists throughout his appearances. He can (and often does) go 5-6 games without a goal or an assist or either. If you want to be an automatic starter in a side with Arsenal's attacking philosophy, you need to do better than that.
It's like 8bit said earlier - his lack of contribution to our all-round game is so poor that he needs to keep scoring to justify his place - and that's just not something he's capable of doing.
That is true theo is rather inconsistent and that does show when you want to play in the front position.
Hopes he improves, with the team spirit lifting and every other player raising their game especially Ramsey. Maybe and just maybe theo can become better.
KPPR and 8bit, your comments about Theo is a bit of a suprise to me. Fair points though especially what you said KPPR.
At the moment Theo has to play more after 8 weeks injury time again. He lacks match fitness and rafinesse.
His 20 goals last season came in 15 games. That's 15 games, when he played a total of 40. And more than half of his goals came against clubs in the bottom 5 or the lower leagues.
--------
This is a very poor comment, so your saying goals against so called smalled teams down count?
What about all his assists that he provided do they also not count as they might have been against smaller teams?

Thin squad...?
