The outfit, managed by Defoe’s former Tottenham team-mate Ryan Nelsen, will even fly the striker’s family out with him to help him settle.

The move will draw a line under his frustrating second spell at White Hart Lane.

Despite being a regular goal-scorer for Tottenham the frontman has been to restricted to appearances in the Europa League this season.

Bit early for him. I don't think he's good enough to start for us anymore, bit pointless having him around playing in Europa matches, might as well play Kane.

It's a good deal for him, great place to live an a hefty salary. I'm a big fan of his tho and my kid will be devastated he idolises him

Why is it AVB's fault? Defoe has been a goos servant of the club, but is no longer in my opinion a top striker. He us also not a team player, preferring to shoot even when others are in better positions.

Why is Soldado not scoring? That us an easy one, the system of play we currently operate does not give him opportunities. He is a penalty box poacher stake player, if he had been playing for us over the past two seasons he would have bags of goals. This year we seem to have lost the ability to get to the byline and put the ball across the face of the goal.

People claim he does not work hard enough, that us not his style an d not what we bought him for. We have plenty of guts who can run around but few who can score goals, if we create enough Soldado will score. The real problem lies in our build up play, it is too slow and pedantic, even Sandy and I could defend against that way of play!
