Mls? That won't do much for his World Cup prospects
Do they play 442 with a target man at Toronto?
I wouldn't mind taking 6m for Defoe, seeing him leave and getting a replacement. Doesn't cut it at the top level anymore, looks absolutely lost in most Prem games he plays in these days. He's been a loyal servant, etc., but IMO he's just not up to what we expect from a striker anymore
i know he's on the wane....but its still sad to see our 'Y!!)0' go....
According to a 'source' he wants to leave spurs but stay in London.....?
cue Harry swooping in that case
Bizarrely, I actually think Defoe would be a class signing for City as backup to Aguero. Especially considering they like to play two up top, he would work so well off of the likes of Negredo/Dzeko or even Jovetic.
Not suited to our style of play at all that lad. Even Harry struggled to get the best out of him after the 09 season.
"People claim he does not work hard enough, that us not his style an d not what we bought him for."
The return of the Don Howe "work rate" (oh how the England setup prospered during his 'involvement' ) .
Does anyone remember that hard-working striker Spurs had for a couple of years ?? What was his name : Gary Loineker ??
RDBD...........................Spot on........................we have enough "workers" we need creators!!
I mentioned Don Howe because of his "work rate" dogma (cited by some as being the reason Hoddle never really became a fixture in the England setup) .
Lineker was a supreme box predator.
And often called "lazy" by the ignorant.
When Soldado is provided 10 box sitters by the MF and misses them all, then come back and call him s-h-i-t-e.
Can this really be classed as fact, it's in the Mirror for facks sake.
