Spurtle it was man united we played, the champions with the most inform player in Rooney playing
After getting battered last week we could of easily lost today but no we showed real character today and gives us a platform to build from
The inclusion of 7 players in, 6 players out the club, including Bale, not sure what the expectations are?
Bale was the main reason we played to the standards we did last season

The United team is not bad if that's what you're asking, but let's face it, they won't be winning the PL. They're not as tough to beat this season. The results have so far shown that.
Understand that fella. But without Bale you take a massive player out the team. I'm not concerned yet.
The next 3 league games could define our season
Hengy they also had Cleverley and Welbeck playing, and no RVP.
Basically we played well enough to win but we didn't. That's a disappointing outcome.
The expectation was:
To not be languishing in 8/9th place after 13 games.
To have scored more than 11 league goals.
For about 70 mill worth of attacking talent to be effective going forward.
For our manager to not repeat the same mistakes over and over and over again.
For us to have beaten at least one of the big boys by now.
Don't think those expectations are unreasonable.
Really don't get spurs fans
I think we need to forget using this Bale excuse as well. We lost one exceptional player but spent over £100m on strengthening the squad to give ourselves the most depth we've ever had.
The next 4 games we won last season. Unfortunately I can't see that happening this time round.

I guess we'll know how good it was by the end of the season, but IMO I don't think it's good enough if we want top 4, which has been my expectation.

Ok I'll reset my expectations to finish in the top 10.

Bale shingle handedly win us game after game last season
West Brom, Swansea, Saints. West Ham, Sunderland, the list goes on
He was a huge player for us, let's be honest he's the main reason we finished 5th, without him we would have finished where we are now,
Hope I'm not alone on that?
But we still have a great squad of players now even without Bale. We shouldn't kid ourselves that we were overachieving by Bale having to singlehandedly win us games last season. We were underachieving, just as we are now.
Sold 1 player and bought 4 or 5 more who can contribute in the attacking sense, seeing as it wasn't messi or ronaldo that we sold, that should make us stronger. It's a convenient excuse but one I'm not buying.
Bale was the sole reason we finished 5th, that's fact!
26 goals and 10 assist, we didn't over or under perform, we finished about right, got what we deserved for poor results
Lamela, Townsend, Lennon are miles off GB! I'm convinced we will go on a run now and finish strong
And we sold Dempsey, Caulker. Parker, Hudd, no Rafa, Livermore, Benny, and GB.
Most fans would agree. Look at Sunderland. QPR, you change the basis and bulk of a side you will ultimately struggle, I personally think we're still gelling as a side

As I said before.... this was a game we should have won, so it represents two points dropped.
That said, if RVP had been playing it could have been a very different game.
So in that sense, we were lucky.
I don't think we're gelling at all. Doesn't seem to be any partnerships or understandings developing because the team keeps chopping and changing. Reason why it keeps chopping and changing is because AVB is too blind to see his tactics don't work.
lion-el you're the blind one if you think his tactics didn't work today
what let us down yet again was a silly mistake by walker. nothing to do with tactics. we should have won that game as we were the better side
