"City are flat track bullies. Have they even won a 'tight' game this season? All their wins have been very easy victories, when oppositions have a game plan against them, they crumble"

They have destroyed united and spurs. Wouldn't call them flat track bullies
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs are shít and United were a complete mess at the time. They were odds on to win both matches, nobody was shocked at either outcome.

then how come the Southampton keeper made two great saves in the first half if we created nothing? What game dis you watch?

Arsenal struggled to create much agst Southampton and had a gift goal, but were superb yesterday...

It is pretty obvious the three teams in for the title are City, Arsenal and Chelsea........at the moment my money is on City, with Arsenal 2nd and Chelsea 3rd....but things change fast

Dubbed, read what i said again. Im on about the so called "silly" points, ie outside off the so called top 7 (where we have both dropped 5 each), because you said we have been dropping more "silly" points than you have, which isn't true, not in the league anyway.

Arsenal and Chelsea both need a world class striker, whoever gets one in January will win the league imo.

I give you that but did they well in the first half and dominate Southampton?

I think we need a world class CM more than a world class striker, i actually think we have enough quality up front, torres, ba and Eto are all doing well now..........not enough strike quality for the CL, but enough for the PL, but onlly if we improve our CM

But on the other hand Dubbed i think you will challenge this season.

I weren't too bothered in previous season's when you looked good because i knew Wenger's stubbornness to adopt a plan B would cost you overall, it seems like the penny has finally dropped however.

First half was even stevens if you take away the mistake we made.............i would say your first half agst Southampton was even stevens if you take away the mistake they made

Honestly the second half against Southampton was the best I'd seen Chelsea play all season. Out of our next 6 league fixtures, I think we will lose to them and City, but we should dispatch the other teams relatively comfortably.

If anything, I was impressed with Chelsea today. Struggled initially but eventually imposed themselves on the game. They and City are itle favourites for me.

You think we'll dispatch Everton "comfortably"?

City are two different teams at home they are world beaters and away are about as good as Sunderland.

Yes. Lukaku is in great form, but whenever he's played against us, he's done nothing. His touch and mobility is questionable, too, and I expect Koscielny to handle him as the Frenchman has great anticipation and nippy feet.

Barkley and Mirallas will be a handful, but I expect us to win the game without too much trouble. I'm not that worried about Everton at all. A draw or loss will be very disappointing.

I would be over he moon if we drew against Chelsea and Man city

More worried about Chelsea and mourinho.

Always get the better of us

Everton have been the surprise package this year, they still have the defensive resilience of Moyes side last season but are much better going forward.

Lukaku battered us playing for West Brom last season but was unlucky not to score. We're better than Everton but lesser teams than Everotn are well capable of beating us. Even if we win the game, I can pretty much guarantee the victory won't be with "without too much trouble" as you put it.

You Arsenal fans need to beleive a bit more, you are top of the table for a reason.........I watched you yesterday and that was a title winning type of performance, you totally controlled a potential banana skin game..

There are some question marks over depth of your squad in some key positions, but if you can have a bit of luck and keep your key players fit you really can win it this season..

Arsenal have defiantly impressed so far this season. I didnt think they had a hope in hell in the CL and they are top of their group right now and I think Mertesacker has been one of the PL's best CB's this year.

===

He huffed and puffed, but didn't really do much up until Mertesacker got sent off. He had two good chances from what I recall and Szczsney made two top drawer saves. Nevertheless, whenever he has come up against us, he has done búgger all. He is a definite threat, of course, but I expect us to handle him, as we have done previously.

Like I said, I'm really not that worried about the Everton game at all. Their record against us away from home is pretty shocking in all honesty.

Lukaku has played one season against us. You make it sound like he's played 10 seasons and flopped against us. Red card or no red card, was just pointing out it's incorrect to say he does nothing against us. He came on as a late sub in that game and turned our defenders' legs to jelly and we couldn't handle him.

Everton's past record against us won't have any relevance. They're a different team operating at a different level, playing with a different style with different players under a different manager from the days we were battering them 7-0. We couldn't beat them last season and they gave us a hell of a fright.

Arsenal are a different animal to last season. They don't drop stupid points any more and Everton is an opponent you'd expect to beat. And you probably will.

If he played so well, why did he make no meaningful contribution to the game? Did WBA manage to salvage draw against 10 men for the final 20 minutes of the game where they were so dominant? What is it that Lukaku actually did? It didn't cost us the game and he didn't score, so I'd consider that as us handling him.

I know their record has no relevance to the game, but I'm just pointing out that if we've dealt with them in the past with worse teams, then we can do it this time. Obviously football doesn't work that way, but you see what I mean.

Yes, we couldn't beat them last season, but if you're claiming past records have no relevance going into the game next weekend, then you're going against your own argument.

They're a different team operating at a different level? Well guess what? So are we.

-----------------------------------
Henry played great in the '06 CL final but failed to score and even missed a key one-on-one sitter. It happens. You don't have to score to make an impact. I don't know how you measure "meaningful contributions".

---------------------------------------
On the contrary, I was using YOUR argument to show that our most recent results against them aren't impressive. Everton give all the top sides a tough test so there's no reason to believe we'll roll over them without trouble.

Sheriff

If you want to see a team fail miserably to roll Everton over without trouble, watch us on Wednesday night

I don't think you'll roll them over or it will be easy but Arsenal have more quality and more match winners than Everton. With the resilience and consistency you're showing i would be surprised if you didn't win. Not going to be an easy game (Everton never is) and if you didn't win it would hardly be a disgrace, but I think you will.
