I warned Wolfie and Co on 'ere that he was a clueless sandal and sock wearing grinning exceptionally poor man's Martinez.
They wouldn't listen.

I'm warning you, he's a fashion disaster.
i'm pleased to say i didn't post in either of those two threads. if i had, i would have supported wolfgang's well reasoned argument that coyle is a tramp.
For me it was the grin, the whole grin, and nothing but the grin

It's the inane grin that will grate if (as expected) things go wrong on the pitch. He gives the impression (he can't help this) that he finds it all rather hilarious.
It (the grin) is part lunatic and part sinister.
You won't notice this if Wolves are cutting a swath through all and sundry, scoring four or more a game. But when he stands there giving an interview after an eighth consecutive defeat, you will be convinced he is part of an evil masterplan to destroy everything he touches.
Remember the grin.
Here's our favourite football expert - no doubt he will completely forget this video ever existed, go on ITV, stroke Chiles' fragile ego, and boast how he never ever wanted Coyle in charge but his hand was forced by Wigan fans:

This is spades .....
At least Saunders looked upset whilst he ruined the club. Coyle just stands there doing an impersonation of The Joker.

Get him in, if we manage to appoint him in our position it will be the best managerial appointment for 30 years.
Viva la revolution.
Seemed like he was one of the better options available to us in the summer but now another failure in the management ranks.
I think Whelan will struggle to ever get Wigan back into the top flight. They are a small club with poor support and now they have dropped out of the top flight they will have great difficulty attracting good managers or good players. For the same reasons, they could even sink like Wimbledon did once the parachute money runs out.

That's it, if perton likes him he's got to be crap.
Very astute observation Wolfgang. (both times)
So larry.................in the past i have said that muppet was a good championship manager im glad you have said im right.
You are right
..........I think?
So wolfgang people cant change their views?
ie larry i said muppet was good so on your assumptions he must have been cr@p.
At last someone has seen the light.
Well, if you change your views randomly and say someone is good one day and cr@p the next, then at some point you are going to be right....
just not right all along.
one day "larry".....................that was years ago a good championship manager but a proven sh@t pl manager
right all along and im glad you think im right
I am pleased that you hold my opinion in such high regard "per ton".
That first thread must have had private settings, i never even made a comment
Interesting that Martinez convo came up at the end of that thread, looks like i was falsely accused yesterday for a change
i didn't comment either - i am assuming it was 1 of 1001 threads all rehashing the same discussion with some pointless MM/SS love thrown in for good measure, so i probably just didn't bother. do tend to take a bit of a break from here once the arguments get as circular as perton's tortuous effort above
