I never mentioned anything about peaks, that is wild rover.
I assume you have a good reason from the start of the season for saying Palace were not going to win the title?
That reason would be exactly the same as mine, there's a load of teams better than them.
So you do understand the reasoning and you do agree with it.... You just don't like it taken to that extent.
How about we get a bit closer?
Liverpool, I assume from the start of the season you wrote off their chances, hell all the Liverpool fans bar maybe GB did!
What's their reasoning for that I wonder?
Exactly the same.
I wasn't saying anything was a certainty just that I can't see it happening.
To those saying Arsenal are playing at their peak, that is fairly disingenuous. It's fair to say that certain players are, Ramsey clearly, the centre back pairing and Szczesny have rarely looked more solid.
But Ozil has yet to hit top form, Cazorla (our best player from last season by a fair chunk) has been below par since coming back from injury, Jack is still on the mend, and for the majority of the season we've had no wide players at all, including two of our top scorers from last season, so believe me there is more to come.
As for the others going on a run, while Arsenal have a bad patch - that is certainly possible, but nothing is worth more than having points on the board, whatever may hypothetically come to pass over the next few months.
Clearly the next few games could prove to be crucial, but they may not - our loss to United did not really affect us and the gap between the two teams is greater now than it was before.
I dont think it really matters what anyone thinks.
The simple fact is until Arsenal actually win the title, everyone has a right to doubt they'll win it.
What i however cant get my head round is anyone that thinks Utd can win it but not Arsenal
I mean really?!!?
Surely if any Man Utd fans still believes they have a chance of winning the league then they'll have to admit that Arsenal also have a chance.
Fans say things like we havent played City or Chelsea, but then ignore the fact that we beat Cardiff away and Southampton at home, games that both City and Utd dropped points
Incase that's aimed at me I never said that Arsenal have absolutely no chance of winning the league (at least outside of the occasional wind up)
I just can't see it is wildy different to will definitely not happen.

Thats a fair point but this Arsenal team have been impressive all year, last season despite finishing 4th we had the 2nd best defence, this season we currently have the joint best.
But if you ask any Man Utd fan who's defence was better? none would say Arsenal despite last seasons stats telling us so and likewise thus far this season.
Misconceptions like that is why a lot of people dismiss Arsenal
Every now and then I need remind myself that we have Özil, Cazorla, Wilshere and Ramsey. And behind them we have the likes of Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini.
I mean wow. Our midfield is incredible.
SAF, You are the biggest WUM I've met on the Arsenal board.
That's way over the top about Palace. But Arsenal are top of the league, been on a great run, dominated for most of the season and you still expect them to finish at least 4th if you're theory of "betters teams will finish above worse teams" is correct? United won't make up a 9 point gap. Get real.
Yeah, but, that's not what you're saying. That's at the other end of the table. Put it that way, Palace, Hull and Cardiff will all go down because they're the worst 3 teams in the division as they've all just come up. Is that going to be happen, realistically? No.
I've actually thought Liverpool were going to get Top 4 at this season and come up as dark horses from underneath all these others teams EXPECTED to get there. Guess what, Liverpool are 4th, so it seems I'm right so far. Is that realistic according to you're theory? No.
You said because there are 3 teams better than Arsenal, they will finish above them. So you're saying that is a certainty. You've hit a brick wall, you're theories are useless.
What you were implying was "Teams that are better than the other teams will finish above the teams worse than them." Pathetic.

The main difference between Arsenal are the other ‘contenders’ is that Arsenal are playing at their peak but City, Chelsea and United are not. If any of these teams (or two/three) get their act together they could easily go on a 10+ winning streak after Christmas. Would Arsenal be able to? Unless they strengthen in January I would say no
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what I love reading. The assumption that we have hit our peak and therefore can't sustain it and the big 3 have just started in the races. That may well be true. But the others have not had the injuries we have had to contend with. Furthermore I maintain that we have the best midfield in the country by a country mile. We may not have a beast like Viera (Yaya or Keane) but we have incredibly skilled players who importantly are extremely comfortable on the ball and are willing to accept it regardless of who is around them.
As a unit our back 4 is also the best. We may not have a stand out defender like Kompany but we have calm players who are comfortable on the ball and importantly seem to be able to find time on it to play it out. It appears many of you like those "up and at em and heart on sleeve" style of defenders like Terry who display true British Grit and will "take one for the team". We have footballers not hoofballers.
Our nly weak area is a greedy cant of a striker. But as an overall unit, I say we are equal to the Big 3 and probably better than Yanited.
Show me two better fullbacks than Bacs and Gibbs.
Keep on believing what the media tells you and disbelieving what your eyes tell you.
Ready for the next "test".

Why don't you just accept you dislike Arsenal and you very bitter and envy of Arsenal because Utd are absolutely cack and pants.
Man utd are not one more skip up from being out the title race. Man utd were 8 points clear going into may I believe in 2012 and we messed it up. I personally think 82 points will win it so we can drop another 15 points and possibly still win the title.
---
While that is mathematically possible, you have already dropped 17 points in 13 games, so what on Earth makes you think you are capable of dropping only 15 from the remaining 25? United teams of the past may have been capable of doing that, but you really need to get used to the fact that this one, under this manager, does not look like it is.
It takes some amount of hubris to write off Arsenal's title chances (we would need to pick up 51 points in 25 games to achieve your 82 points, which is considerably below our current rate) while at the same time considering United still capable of doing that.

Don't think he's being unreasonable, he just has an opinion that you (and I) happen to disagree with which he is perfectly entitled to. Personally, I think that the title will go to one of us, City or Chelsea with United being the other team in the top four (not necessarily finishing fourth, but I don't think they'll win it this season). I don't expect he'll dismiss my opinion as being bitter, and I don't expect he would if I said I thought United would struggle to get top four, either.
As far as I'm concerned, it's between Arsenal and Chelsea for the title. Everyone seems to think that because City are scoring loads of goals at home they will run Chelsea (the other favourite for the title) close, but they have lost 4 away games already this season and until that improves, which there's been no evidence of so far, they will most definitely not be title challenges. What's the point of hammering teams on your home turf if you're struggling to get results away?
United for the title will not happen, in my opinion. Rooney and van Persie aside, I see no special quality in their team. They have a good set of defenders, but the chopping and changing has meant there's no familiar partnership at the back. They were very, very lucky to get a draw against both Cardiff and Spurs and I've seen nothing from them which suggests they will be challenging for the title. Perhaps next season when Moyes familiarises himself with the team more and brings in his own players, but I've written them off this year.
Things can change over the next few months, but at the moment, it's between Arsenal and Chelsea.
I don't even thing United will finish up in the top 4. Are their players young enough and can they sustain a competitive season? As soon as Fellani gets injured they are fooked.
If Chelsea had Lukaku playing then they would have more of a chance. But Maureen being so up himself will cost Chelsea the title.

City's squad is crazy and Pelligrini is still pretty new. I suspect it's only a matter of time before they stop losing so prolifically away from home; such a gifted team won't keep struggling for too long.
Exactly. Falliani has been playing as well as the rest (even when he's not playing) with the exception of Rooney. A true one man team.
Arsenal already in the peak, and Chelsea and City and others are not? Theo, Poldi and Ox are out for months; Özil is still adapting; and Santi is not in form at all. You will see we are in form when all these players clicking together.
Arsenal already lost more possible points to claim the title? Why only Arsenal is going to lose points but other "contenders" will not? If you think Arsenal already lost enough points to NOT winning the title, then ALL other teams in the EPL will not win the title because they have lost more points than Arsenal do.
