Take the example of Wilshere as a prime one, people were slating him just a month or so ago, then he scores a couple and assists a few and now he's a great player again.
-
People were saying he was playing poorly etc, like me, i said he was playing terribly, which he was, what do you do when a player is playing bad? just ignore it? no. Now he is playing well, and i say he is playing well.

There's a clear difference between saying a player's in bad form, and being abusive and saying we should sell them because of it. The latter is just moronic and we see a lot of it on the arsenal board nowadays.
"Yeah, we'd better suppress any negativity here because it may affect the precious sensibilities of guys that earn more in a week than most here earn in a year"
-----
Always good to see the 'they earn so much more money than us' argument dusted down and show the light again.
Been too long since I've seen it.
All this would actually be relevant if people are saying "Cazorla is sheite". On the contrary, the criticism he's getting is because they know he's MILES better than he's showing this season and he just has to do a lot more. Stating facts about how well he's playing is perfectly justified. Politicians earn far less than these sports stars and get far more vilification and criticism for having the guts to stand up and do something while armchair critics pour bile on their efforts from their armchairs. And people aren't nearly as offended at their bitter criticism as they are with cuddled, over-pampered, overpaid sports stars.

Good to know like it. It's good for maintaining a dose of perspective that the over-paying public should have a right to demand the best efforts from overpaid stars kicking a ball around a pitch without being made to feel they've commited a crime.
Yeah, we'd better suppress any negativity here because it may affect the precious sensibilities of guys that earn more in a week than most here earn in a year. Criticism is a small occupational hazard for what they do. And adulation follows those who can rise above it and improve. If criticism doesn't motivate a PROFESSIONAL footballer, then they deserve all of it and more.
You must think players are toddlers or something
-----
The people that criticise the most are probably not doing anything worthwhile in their lives, yes footballers earn a lot of money but they had to work very hard to get where they are.
Even if most guys on this board had the talent to play football most wouldn't make it because of their warped mentality.
santi has been playing crap tbh, but to say to get rid of him is stupid! He's at least trying

Brilliant.
Oh wait, you're serious?
Footballers are, in the main, thick as sh/t guys who haven't had to work for anything in their whole lives.
If you think going to training a few times a week is hard work, I really have to question your sanity.

I'm sure if as many people took this forum as seriously as the OP suggests, most of its users would've deleted their accounts long ago.
Giroud sux.... oh he defends corners and set-pieces very well for us he's so important.
Exactly the contributions we want from our main forwards, goals don't matter anymore

You may have a point there, but wouldn't that leave a big gap in their personal lives??
Personal lives, or work lives?!
you aren't allowed to judge players on form, otherwise you are fickle and clueless.
That is okay Rev if only the assessment is fair.
If you think going to training a few times a week is hard work, I really have to question your sanity.

Do you think Messi got to where he is by training a few times a week, yes he's a talent but from reading his bio (all be it in spanish) he worked bloody hard to get where he is and probably still does.
Being at the top in any sport is difficult (football being on of the easiest compared to other sports tbh but it's still hard)

Cannot agree with that. The path to becoming a professional footballer cannot be classed as real hard work, compared to 99.9% of the rest of the world.
Pay me 1% of what any Premiership player gets and I'll happily train 3x the amount they do.

To be honest...I have no clue what your comment wants us to say.
I agree they should all be sold or dropped. If they cannot play 100% every game whats the point ?
I still think that we should have got rid of Bergkamp in 1999 and Henry before 2006.
Henry...missed a one on one in CL final in 2006. If he scored then we would have won the CL as it would have been 2-0....
Bergkamp - for missing that penalty in the last minute against Man U in the FA cup semi final in 1999. If he scored we would have gone on to win the double that season....
I for one was shouting Bergkamp out....Henry out.......and I reckon all my fellow Gooners were doing the same..........
And don't let me get started with Seaman being beaten from the halfway line by Nyeem in 1995 Cup winners cup final...............
Deen, dont forget RVP for all the time he missed out injured.

I'm not saying it's as hard as other jobs, but to get to that level and maintain it isn't easy.
My cousin went to the same school as Beckham and he said there were far more talented players than him, but yet Beckham was the only one to make it. why?
Also it's a myth that money is what motivates us, if so Arsenal should've won a title ages ago with the amount we pay our players.
