I say that Chiriches & Paulinho are the only ones that have justified themselves so far. That is being quite kind to Paulinho, I must admit.

I think Paulinho has been very poor. Perhaps a new coach will put an arm around the new signings - they look like they need it

Holtby looked poor last season. Shockingly now he's had a few months to settle he's actually starting to look like a decent player. I expect the majority of the players to be similar.

The really disappointing one - the one that's a massive write-off - is Soldado.

28 years old and looks like Gregorz Raziak. He's lucky that he'll get another chance in another system with another manager; the way things were going he was going to go down in the archives filed under 'Rebrov'

Apart from his first 2 games, where he hit heights he's never since reached.

He will be quality, however.

I've actually learnt to give Soldado some slack especially as his wife just had a miscarriage.

Soldado has had no service all season, how can you write him off?

I think all bar Soldado will justify their price tags when we get a manager who knows what he is doing - I really do. Them players have not turned rubbish over night. Hopefully Soldado will prove me wrong but he doesn't seem suited to this league whereas I can see potential in the rest.

Paulinho can run and that is it, not great at passing, not great at shooting, dribbling, tackling. What does he do except run about.

Actually Gary Neville and Carragher on MNF ripped him apart, saying he was lazy and didn't have the effort or intelligence to make the runs his team mates were looking for ...

Works both way pal. When he gets a chance he facks it up. 1 goal (open play) in like 14 games? I could do better than that! Think how many chances he had v Newcastle for a start ...

Simply not true. Soldado has been criticised by many ex-pro's, pundits and whoever.

It seems you only want to believe or listen to the pro-comments.
