Not wumming, you called us for the kaka bid and snub and when I commented that united bid for bale and the player rejected the move even after what would have been a world record fee you were all up in arms calling it bullsheet and attacking me with the usual insults.

Now it appears that was the case.

Do you think fergies retirement was part of bales decision to turn united down?

No...he ALWAYS wanted to go to Madrid.

A deal for 100m doesn't mean 100m in a lump sum.

Probably was a £40m max down payment with the rest in instalments.

This is probably why the deal didnt go ahead as Levy was insisting on a lump sum which eventually came from Madrid.

Won't stop the rest of the footballing world thinking you have a £100m burning a hole in your pocket though!

I don't think many clubs pay these sort of talk much interest. Its what they see in the transfer market.

United needed to pay what was needed. Bale would have been another RVP scenario where a very good player is available but not crucial to what the team actually needs (Cesc is than Bale). Fellaini was a panic buy due to us not paying what was needed for the players we initially went in for.

Bale wanted to go abroad and I am happy we missed out on him. He isn't worth 100million depsite what you say about marketing (as that will line mostly his pocket than Uniteds). Secondly, with that amount, we could have sorted out most of the kinks in teh squad.

I reckon it was United's idea of £100 million:

Bebe - £15 mil
Anderson - £20 mil
Hernandez - £25 mil
Nani - £30 mil

+ £10 mil cash

---------------

Nah, he was always going to go to Real, IMO.

Now, Ronaldo on the other hand. If SAF hadn't retired, I believe he would have come back to OT in the summer.

what makes you think A) He will do it with better players

Tomatoes I really can't adapt to your posting style. With your spiky nature I imagine that doesn't worry you too much. You speak sense at times but a comment like the one above really is borderline WUM and stupid. Can't work out whether the former or the latter was your intention; enlighten me.

2 things

1) Thank Feck we didn't spend 100m on Bale, he's a good player but not worth 100m

2) If we had that kind of money to spend, why the feck did we not spend it on 3 decent players?

Mr Moyes, you have made me very angry and you wouldn't like me when I'm angry

Why would you have paid more than you needed to to get him though, oh wait

Unlucky United. Can't believe you didn't go through with it even when we tried to sweeten the deal by throwing in Bale as well.

Instead we spent more than a quarter of it on the donkey that is Fellaini

Be a bit strange if SAF retired because a player turned him down....

Be especially strange since he announced his retirement before the end of last season whilst presumably the Bale negotiations went on into the summer....

Maybe SAF did a little time travelling and when he went into the future he realised Bale was turning United down so he went back in time and retired...

After all that must be the first time a players ever turned United down under SAF.

"Willing to pay £100m for Bale"

Big difference between willing to and actually offering it.

Why would AVB know what they were willing to pay? That completely defeats the object of the bidding nature of the transfer market.
