you know if i can say

brendan rodgers has got liverpool playing some half decent football not just this season but from last season

i was saying it last year.

liverpool were creating chances but werent finishing them off. this year they are finishing them off.

my point is they were playing different football pretty much from the outset with pretty much the SAME players that kenny had. He did spend money. he bought coutinho sturridge mignolet. these are ones that have stayed in his 1st team.

now if jose gets us to play half decent football by the 2nd half of the season, we can accept that but does it look like to you, we'll just suddenly explode into a tiki taka team when we're playing out boring 0-0's away and not even attacking that much because we're so hellbent on not conceding?

and this wasnt just a performance that jose only pulled out for the arsenal game imo. we've been drab in many games this season so this performance tonight has been in tune with pretty much how the rest of the season has gone. drab performances, ok results.

any teeny tiny sign that can be used to say, you know what we're heading this way in our football and i can the performances improve game by game even if the results arent and i can understand 100% what jose is trying to do because where im facking sitting, he doesnt know his best eleven yet and now he's gone back into ultra defensive mode because he's learnt that no one is clinical in our team.

I don't think anyone expects us to be playing like Barca after only a few months. But in your honest opinion, do you think Jose is currently getting the best out of the players at his disposal?

Its not Jose's style to play good football.

This isn't about Barca.
Barca play a different type of possession football...tiki taka.
Ajax, back in the day played total football, which is the type of football I prefer.
If Chelsea can play a fraction of total football...I would die a happy fan.
I reiterate, this is not about Barca's style of football.
As a football fan, nothing pleases me more, than a team in sync ...attack and defend as a unit.
Pinpoint passes, moderate dribbling, good pace, solid back four, and above all...a potent and lethal attack.
This is my definition of how football should be played.

If i can say

The way some fans are going on, its like they actually want tonight's performance to be the style of play Chelsea move forward with.

We really haven't shown many signs of progress at all in the last few months if we can only manage a draw against this Arsenal side by playing defensive, counter-attacking football.

Has there actually been one performance this season where you've actually felt this is how you want Chelsea to play??

We approached the game in a specific way because we didn't want to fall behind in the title race and didn't have the midfield to dominate Arsenal

Had Lampard's volley gone a bit lower or Willian didn't shoot straight at the keeper the plan would have gone to perfection and we'd be joint top. We approached this game exactly like we did against Man U at OT last year just Mata had his 1 chance and took it but today we didn't.
