Was a pants game. City's to lose!

Never had a good game in the big games for Madrid either. Was anonymous always against barca and both games against us last season. Very good player but IMO not world class

Ssshhh you will upset the gunners

I think I'm an Arsenal jinx. Every time I have actually made the effort to see them play, maybe 5 times now, they have been utterly cra'p.

I should make more of an effort to watch them...

Side note: Ozil is world-class. He has been dross each time I've watched him though!

A world class player surely effects the big games at some point or other. Never seen him do it once. Quite frankly that term gets thrown around too much.
He is very good and could be world class however he needs to effect one or two big games IMO

Yes rooney is performing better, I think hes overrated normally but this season he seems underrated

posted on 23/12/13

He hasn't had that long in the pl to be fair, give him a bit of time. It's also harder to rack up assists when he has Walcott and Giroud missing a lot

I watch of madri game, and as good as he is ozil has the ability to ull a disappearing man's act.

He was not the dominant player we needed. He may evolve in years to come into but not atm.

To be fair, I think his chance creation is the best in the league? Not his fault Giroud keeps fluffing chances.

Napoli?

I agree about Giroud. I've got a feeling Gerrard was topping the chances created table, at least up to his injury. Silva has topped the chart for it the last couple of seasons.

Yeah perhaps, sure Ozil is topping something though.

To be fair, like I wrote here

I don't know what people expect of him. He's not, and never has been, someone who controls games, he's a chance creator, plain and simple.

I think if we can nab a mobile striker who will run in behind in January he'll suddenly come to life. I think he's been decent, but not quite a £42m player.

You spent £26 million on Fellaini. Enough said.

posted on 23/12/13

Yeah those were mostly from set peices

posted on 23/12/13

Wayne Rooney has 18 PL assists since the start of last season, 17 months ago. 3 more than any other player.

posted on 23/12/13

Yeah and Fellaini is awful granted.
Like what was said though ozil certainly hasn't shown to be a 42m player yet has he?

posted on 23/12/13

You spent nearly £30 million on a player who's been in the Prem for years, yet you think you can question a player who's only been here for a few months? The best playmaker in the world at that.

Depends how you judge player value in the current transfer market.

He's been £15m better than Fellaini that's for sure.

I actually agree though, for £42m pounds, he's been underwhelming.

Best playmaker in the world?????? Really

Yes we can question a player who has been here a few months. Especially considering 42m was spent on him. 42 fecking million. The 2nd most expensive player in English football history yet he has been anonymous in ALL your big league games

"Best playmaker in the world?????? Really"

Tis debatable. But he is certainly in the top 3.

It is quite obvious you don't watch Arsenal if you think he's been anonymous in all our big games.

As I said earlier, you're in no position to laugh at anyone when you've spent nearly £30 million on Fellaini.

Has anyone else been a little disappointed with Hazard? he 's a good player but i thought Chelsea were signing a big game winning world class player, he seems to blow hot and cold. It's Ozil's first half a season England, best to judge him in a year or so.

posted on 23/12/13

Hazard has shown enough. Especially towards the second half of last season.

posted on 23/12/13

Was talking about Hazard earlier today. Was devastating in his first months for Chelsea, and has seemed to regressed since. Have a feeling he'll be the best attacking mid in the league within 2-3 years though.

posted on 23/12/13

Yes I can judge him. He is the second most expensive player ever in the Premier League.

I agree Fellaini has been awful. Doesn't mean I can't judge ozil

What are you talking about? Why can we not talk about Ozil without you mentioning Fellaini?

For the record, you'll find about 90% of United fans will admit that Fellaini is probably one of the worst buys in our history.
