Dont think it is a gamble at all.
There will be far better options in the summer if Sherwood doesnt achieve what is needed.
Most sensible thing Levy and Spurs could do.
Yeah ok.get rid of levy and get someone like Vincent tang in. FFS give the man a chancellor

Who would you have him appoint exactly? No one is avaliable worth bringing in
I am not disputing the appoinment. It might work.
But Levy has hired and fired so many managers, at some point he must be held to account.
It was reckless to sack a manger mid season with no replacement in place. I'm afraid that he has only appointed Sherwood, because there's no other choice (other than Hoddle perhaps)

The point is he shouldn't have got rid of AVB. I don't care if we weren't playing the Tottenham way, you don't invest in a project and bottle it at the first sign of trouble.
The fact is he has taken a risk in sacking AVB and replacing him with an unproven manager.

Wouldn't it have been more riskier keeping AVB rather than sacking him? I wanted him to do well but him and Brendan Rogers started at the same time and look at Liverpool's position in the league compared to ours.
AVB had ample time. Did we progress ? No. Move on.

You are absolutely right, but in fairness to Levy I thought it only fair to let him know what we are planning to do should it go t.ts up.
I have therefore sent him an email with a link to your article to put him on warning. I would imagine he is quaking in his boots right now!
Levy owns a fair chunk of the club. Pointless article
So of our last 2 managers both held the position of been the 3rd and 4th longest serving manager in the Premiership respectively.
In regards to when to sack a manager I am afraid to tell you people moan and media moan at any time! He was criticised for sacking Harry at the end of the season and was criticised for sacking AVB mid season and then again for Jol too early.
Also all these managers he apparently sacked were, half of them were interim or left like Santini
Levy has just sacked our highest ever win percentage PL manager and replaced him with a novice.
AVB had go though, the problem is that Levy should not have hired AVB in the first place.
I hope Sherwood does well, good to see a young English manager given a chance.

For all the money spent on players and managers since he took over, all we have to show for it in terms of physical achievements is a Carling Cup. That is poor. This should be the decision that makes or breaks him.
Just me Bill,
Fans have a voice!
Levy will be quaking if there are mass protests at WHL if this latest gamble should go belly up.
