Good season for utd?

with a transfer window about to open Liverpool cannot be written off

A good season is finishing in top 4 and getting through to last 16 of CL (which we have done)

Moyes does need time. It is still Fergie's team plus Fellaini at the moment. Rome wasn't built in a day.

What i will say though is if we have a repeat of the summer, next summer.........I'll be furious.

It all depends on Manchester United now. You won't find any fan that will say we'll win the league and the majority will say that it really is Manchester City's to lose. Depends on the next few games, if we can get maximum points from them, I don't see why we could not at least be in the mix. Still confident we'll get top 4 either way.

6 or 7 wins in our next 8 league games will put us right back in the mix for top 4.

I have given up on league title already. In fact I never thought it was realistic from day one.

Top4 i would be happy with (but won't be celebrating it )

SE,

winning the league isnt as far fetched as you might think.

dont forget we still have liverpool and city to come to old trafford, IF we win those thats 3 points closed down straight away on each team.

will we win the league, probably not, should we be written off? definately not yet.

Another pundit writing off man utd for the title. The way they speak about man utd it seems like we are in complete crisis way off the top.

Lets just sit back and see the mettle of the boys over this period.

'tradionally' simillar to SAF Moyes's Everton kicked on Christams onwards, hopefully a good transfer window with confidence back in the team should see us in the mix minimum but as the season has shown so far..

Anything can happen! LFC top of the league at Xmas? who'd thunk it? (though they deserve to be there)
BLeurghhhh i just said that!

Wouldn't worry too much, that isn't going to happen.

Obviously I would prefer one of the cockney clubs to win it over City and the scousers.

But you know what......city winning it isn't all that bad. They are still only on 3. And with the ridiculous way they have funded their success it kinda takes the gloss off it for me.

The thought of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez with their grubby little hands on our trophy makes me physically sick.

If it's not us (which it won't be) anyone but the bin_dipppers will do for me.

I just want us to stay in top 4 and build for next season.

8 points is a very big gap. Especially when you consider that there are 7 teams in front of us

I may be in the (vast?) minority, but I'd rather City won it over Liverpool, Chelsea, or Arsenal. They're really the lesser of the 4 evils! I can't stand Chelsea as a club (mostly since Roman took over and turned in to a revolving door). Arsenal and Liverpool are self explanatory.

At least City are sort of going about their massive investment the right way, aiming for long term stability.

I'm with you Jay. If Arsenal won it I think I'd have to leave this site forever just because of the Arsenal fans on here

I can't believe some United fans would rather City won the league than Arsenal. Come on, what's that all about? If you're basing that purely on the reaction of fans on an online football forum you need to get out more.

I would rather they won it over City and Liverpool, definitely. Not Chelsea though.

No its not purely because of that. I also like Pellegrini, Kompnay, Yaya and Aguero. I think they're excellent at their jobs and are somehow likeable despite the rivalry.

I'm basing it on the fact that for the majority of my life, City have been no where near us, and not really had anything to do with us, derby days aside. Losing to City has always píssed me off, and I enjoy beating them. However, if you ask me to choose between Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers & Suarez, Arsenal and Arsene Wenger, Chelsea, Terry, Lampard & Mourinho, or City, Pellegrini and what amounts to a team full of somewhat likeable people, since Tevez left.... Then City get my vote.

Liking individual players from City shouldn't supersede our gross rivalry with them though, not in my opinion anyway. Apart from Liverpool, City are the team I least want to win the league and I've got to say I'm surprised some United fans disagree.
