No real positive can be taken from the last 6 months at spurs. Just been bad decision after bad decision.
AydanVillasBoas
Ridiculous article. Sherwood has been in charge of Spurs for a few games.
OP does make somw fair points. Levy has to take a big part of the blame for getting rid of Harry, replacing him with an inexperienced manager and continuing to put his faith in a D.O.F. system that has not paid off.
To sack AVB without alrady having amanager ready to take over shows total incompetence.

I didn't mean any blame should be pointed at sherwood at all. Its not his fault. I am just saying decisions like his appointment were never planned and that been the story of everything at spurs recently and as a fan it is just getting down right annoying especially when even our football suffers from it.
I dont think Sherwood sees himself as an interim manager. If he does well then I'm all for giving him an even longer contract.

Spurs will always be nearly men until we can compete financially with everybody else.
Is there any wonder we are going through tough times....
Levy sells our best players every summer...
Levy will not offer wages to keep our best players....
Every time we look like we are going places, Levy shoots himself in the foot...
We rebuilt our squad in the summer and sacked our manager a few months later, we also currently have a catalogue of injured players and a new coach, and people wonder why we are not hitting top form.
Sizzle, that exactly the type of excuses we shouldn't be making. Spurs have spent the last 6 or 7 years building a club to compete at the highest level. This is through our youth academy, managerial appointments, high reputable players coming to us and most importantly the money invested in making this happen. Comments like at least we re not in the relegation zone are poor. We are no longer a small club like the villas and Sunderlands. We have to start acting like one soon or we may aswell look forward to seasons of europa and players like taarabt and chimbonda calibre making a return.

I'm looking at it from the relationship point of view between DOF and manager. Jol himself said that he did not want certain players but because Comolli did the buying he had no choice. Although there is no evidence to suggest otherwise, I think the same has happened with AVB and Baldini.
As far as i am concerned the manager should be resposible for buying players that he wants, as he is accountable for the results.
I agree with Levy selling out at the first opportunity. This is why I think the changes have to be at the top before any more are made at the bottom

Its purely an opinion but when a dof buys a player I get the feeling they come into the club thinking they answer to the dof because the commitment of some of our new signings has been abysmal. Again it is a double edged sword though as VdV bled spurs and instantly took to the jersey on arrival even if Levy did sign him.
With what I have seen today and past few weeks really does show that spurs are the laughing stock of the footballing world. Only they would spend 100m + on players and they would all turn rank.
tidy.

Levys bad decisions as chairman heavily outweighs his good ones.
