What we want is a decent squad & management team & board to take us back where we belong..ie in the premier league, i know there are divisions amongst the faithful right now but its because some are happy with the way things are going, others are not...
I think yappy nappy has left an 's'out of inane!
Hi Harj, to be honest Harj, I'm not sure anyone is truly happy with the way things are,it's just that there is a belief that KB is the villain of the piece ,not SG or the team so you have factions giving their support to Leeds United (Manager and Team) but not to KB, others who want SG out, still more who want Both SG and KB out, and probably a few who want to revert to 1919 and start all over again.
Personally i don't like or trust KB and would not shed a tear if he left, SG and the team are Leeds United at the present time and i support Leeds United, after about 50yrs of doing this i'm too old to change now
Happy, Football is, and always will be, pain. There's a handful of promotion places and cup titles to be had between 90 odd clubs. I bet if you go onto the Man U board it too will be filled with the people who believe their club is going downhill, run by morons or whatever. There is no end game. It just runs on and on and on,through generations, one disappointment after another, with the odd happy occasion. The so called inane brigade as you put it are people who can see this and are philosophical about it. I've been watching Leeds for years and its not much different which league your in, Premiership, Championship or otherwise. The same old things happen, the same old emotions arise. There is no 'track'. We're not going anywhere. It just an endless tide of matches and seasons until we die. Football is pain, thats why we love it- to moan about it. There isn't really Positive people or negative people at all. Some people are just philosophical and others critical. There's no need for a fight. Football wont remember us when we're gone.
Very good Tony! You could be me!
Alright then, I understand if you dont want to be me!
Hi HW..., i'm not a papa fan by a long way, & imo he is slowing the progress of the club down..however long we stay out of the premier league, we're losing fans young uns start to support 'the big 4' & our club pales into insignificance, its tragic...in the 80's you had kids supporting Liverpool...so they have a new generation of fans cos they were winning everything....these days the young uns are more interested in the 'big 4'...i want to compete amongst the best the premier league have to offer & amongst europes elite....& HE IS DEPRIVING NOT ONLY ME BUT ALLOF US OF THAT DREAM !
I'm sure KB will put his response to the protest either on the OS or in one of the papers, problem is the guy is so set in his ways he is'nt likely to either step down or make any concessions
Highland, will be in the programme so you have to pay to read it!
Probably Jonty, but you know KB likes a big audience so i reckon he'll leak it to the press
One Simon Grayson, theres only one Simon Grayson!
oooops, wrong thread
Happy,
Good article, I agree with what you wrote.
Tony Ebola, Loved what ya wrote, a helluva lot of truth in what you said, couple it with what Harj wrote and you both hit the nail on head.
OH Yeah,
Throw in Happys article and part of HW's and and most of the bases are covered.
Sorry but I am an eternal optimist when it comes to Leeds, this is no attempt at anything underhand. What a ridiculous post, it is quite the reverse in my opinion.
For me Leeds always will be the best and I am always optimistic. I see mistakes but know they will be fixed. None of you negatives could manage the team any better and ı don't imagine for a minute things are as easy and straight forward as you think. Let's keep the faith for longer than just the opening two matches please. A big win and the comments will soon change.
I am no WUM, we know who they are...
LGBL,
I don't think Happy was pointing a finger at you personally, but why are you suspicious that he was?
I don't think it was a ridiculous post, infact I agree with it but, those who choose to support SG are entitled to do so, but, they don't have a right to verbally abuse those of us who don't share views.
We're all Leeds fans, we all support the team, we all want Leeds to win on the day, but some of us can see what is happening to our club and we vent our frustrations and anger, LGBL, are we not allowed to do that without verbal abuse being thrown at us?
Completely agree with teh abuse bit.
Just because someone doesn't agree with someone else's views there is too much of an abusive reaction rather than entering into debate.
After reading some comments on this forum I cant
help coming to the conclusion that some expect a
magician like David Copperfield to transform the
club...some are completely unrealistic and are very
unfair to present incumbents such as Bates and
Grayson...they're investing in Leeds in their different
ways...building a club after such an event of the
club's decline to the L1 is not a simple exercise and
takes time.
Many fans are intolerant both of mistakes and time
scales...a magician is not on the agenda,
understanding certain individuals have nothing to
gain by not doing their best in the interests of LUFC
should be on the agenda. They have nothing to gain
by underselling LUFC.
