Top man and top manager.
But with a coaching style like that, no bloody wonder he packed it in at Barca. It must age you badly when you're as intense as that on a mid season winter break training session.
His German already though is amazing. Fair play to him.
Moyes probably stands there drinking out his flask of whiskey chatting to Felaini
I do like Pep. The guy seems pretty switched on.
great coach but has inherited the two greatest teams ever
cannot rate him until he does something or stays there long enough to build two or 3 teams that dominate europe
great coach but has inherited the two greatest teams ever
============================================
he's inherited a great Bayern team, he created the greatest Barcelona team
I think he made that Barca team great, rather than inherited them. Under the previous manager, they still had Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldinho etc and despite being a very good team they weren't as special as Pep's Barca.
He definitely had great players at his disposal but I think he still worked wonders with that group of players. He instilled the pressing game in them and the ridiculously good on the eye tiki taka football too.
He knew all those players since they were kids too. Father figure in some ways.
He will want to manage in England next, the question is which team ?
Giggs,Scholes or OGS could be our Pep !

I think Arsenal as the players he inherits will be the kind he likes working with.
If the timing of Wenger going and Pep getting itchy feet is right then I do agree

he inherites a side that had just come 3rd in a 2 team league, with a dressing room that hated each other, he kicked out 2 of the greatest footballers in the world (deco and ronaldinho) and replaced them with Busquets, Iniesta and Pedro, he changed Messi from a brilliant but injury prone right winger into the greatest footballer in the world, and played some of the most beautiful football ever seen, anyone who doubts Pep is a moron frankly
Reminds me of a young David Moyes
City most likely will go for him. And with so many spanish speaking players in their squad, I bet he'd probably go too. Negredo, Aguero, Silva, Navas, Zabaleta etc
Couple more seasons at Bayern then off to City I reckon.
Agree Mex.... as years go by many people conveniently forget how good players, sides, managers were.
Like that idiot Gooner saying Giggs was only good and not great and that GInola was better ..ffs !
That Milan team were unbelievable, the Belgrade team too going back further. The Everton team of mid-80s too that were denied the chance of playing in the Euro cup by the ban on English clubs..... people forget just how great Ralphie Milne was too!!
great coach but has inherited the two greatest teams ever
You got schooled on this by like 8 people the other day. You'd think you'd learn.
My point is that the guy has got;
1) A playing style
2) A good ethos
3) Will surely has a good backroom staff
4) Handles media well
5) More of a coach than manager
6) A winning mentality
They tell us he is only good because of the teams he has worked with. Bayern Munich are sound guys, what do you do with a team that has won the treble previous season? Hand it over to a manager who has won 17 trophies in less than 7 years.
If we're gonna moan that we don't have Pep then we should also moan we don't have Messi or that we have owners that rape us financially or that we play in a city that rains more than Madrid!

Having the nuts to replace the premier leagues current best cm with an unknown 19 year old deserves huge credit. As does getting rid of Ronaldinho, that was the eqivelant of utd 1997 selling cantona should he have not retired.
Peps work is seriously underrated.

dont think anyone is moaning that we dont have Pep, just praising him on being a great manager
The winter break came at the right time for messi in my opinion. Having possibly his worst season.
Only got 16 in 17 this year.
The same owners who sanctioned the purchase of £27 million poun Fellaini. Whoever is prepared to spend £27 million on Fellaini is willing to spend.
