Surely can't be that downhearted Tino when you're playing the champions of the last two years? Away too!

HT Wales 17-3 Italy

Late try in that half might have killed the Italians

Anyone watching?

Italy are not getting the returns their play deserves mate. I take nothing away from wales and the points they have scored, but italy deserve more for the work they have done. Unfortunately it's typical italy. They follow up something good with something crap. This game should be much closer on the score board. And wales don't look at their best at all. but it's good enough when u face a side who mess it up so much as italy are doing. Wales should count themselves luck its italy and not England or Ireland they are facing. They would be getting hammered by this point.

Nice!!!! Finally Italy get reward for their efforts. incredible try. Absolutely deserved

Stupid ruling. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter where the hands go, if the ball goes forward it's a forward pass. They need to go bak to the old rule.

Also, not a single scrum has been put in straight.

Missed a couple of kicks Italy, they'd be right back in this if they'd got those extra 5 pts.

Faletau looks like he's got both ankles all strapped up - OUTSIDE his boots.

Why doesn't he just wear good old-fashioned rugby boots.

Manuel. The momentum of the player running at full speed means that if he passes flat or a little back it still means the ball travels forward. This is science. And there is no old rule. this has always been a consideration in rugby. Forward momentum and the direction of the pass. It only forward if the hands pass in a forward direction.

Good try. Deserved try. And a good pass.

I'm with Manuel. A forward pass is a forward pass. Asking the ref to judge the physics of momentum brings in a ridiculous variable that causes confusion.

Keep it simple.

I've been impressed with Italy today. Played well and by no means out of this game yet. Next try, if there is one, vital.

Dim penalty by James. and he gave away a bag load of pens in the 1st. Gatland will have him off soon. no doubt.

As for the physics of the pass. Show. u know from level10 that this the momentum of the player is taken into account. Otherwise attacking play would be dead if you can't pass flat at pace. Might as well drop the backs at that rate and play 10 man rugby.

Another pen Wales lead by 12, game over now.

Maybe not game over! Interception bad pass and Campagnaro bursts clear, under the posts and it's game on again!

Ding I know all that, but bringing in such a variable into a fast moving game only increases the need for the TMO all the time, and even then, there is always debate about his decision.

At level 10, in the absence of a TMO, a punch up in the mud usually sorts things out. And that is always followed by a pint after the match where the incident can be discussed in a civilised manner.
