I have noticed that less people are saying we cant afford players anymore this season probably because we have splashed the cash.
Maybe Fergie and Gill were right all along, there was money in the bank to buy players.....who'd a thunk it? :D
Did you see Jamie Redknapp after the game saying he hasn't got the build of the top goalkeepers in the world. Yes he needs to bulk up but he is still bigger than pretty much all the other Spanish Keepers around.
Thank god Nev is there to talk some sense
Mouseburger if you could sign one more player for United before the summer window closes, who would it be (apart from a certain dutch masterclass)?
Yeah dont quite get the criticism of his build. He's 20, he'll fill out plenty in the next few years. Regardless, Casillas isn't exactly a man mountain is he?
Jamie Redknapp is such a joke of a pundit that he makes Adrian Chiles look like he knows what hes talking about.
Casillas is not even 6ft and De Gea is 6ft 4.
He has become a bit tiresome, most of his analysis begins with an anecdote about Stevie G
Top De Gea - honestly i think i would like to get Mario Gotze before someone else in Europe gets him - only 19 rather talented, can only get better, will not cost the earth in tranfser fees and wages either.
I read reports in the Metro that we have switch from Sneijder to looking at him and if so i think that would be a nice alternative.
miss gray moving the players about and not letting other people touch the screen. Other than that he is no miss. de gea made some good saves that'll get overlooked. He'll get used to the physical side and at least you won so his confidence didn't get absolutely battered
Its not his size that would worry me, its the tame shots from distance that he's let in. You got away with it yesterday because you were playing West Brom, that won't happen against the better teams. I was amazed to hear that he's only played 30 odd games for Athletico. That's alot of money for so little experience. Into
Give him time, he'll come good. Confidence will return, have faith...
Either that or he'll be a constant source of worry for Fergie and entertainment for supporters of all other clubs..
Face up to it OP once a calamity keeper always a calamity keeper. Maybe you should drop that name of your name (oopes!) to save yourself future embarrassment.

And some people on this board claim that he has much greater experience than Danish full International and Danish and Norwegian 'Keeper of the Year Lindegaard!
What is a little more concerning - especially in light of recent events - is that De Gea, in those few games for Atletico managed to let in more shots from outside the box than any 'keeper in La Liga... eleven of them!
I must confess I do not understand SAF's thinking in throwing such a callow and inexperienced youth in the deep end when Lindegaard has shown such confidence in pre-season. Were he to have started with Lindegaard he could have phased DG in gradually, but now he is under greater pressure than ever.
I hate to say it but I agree with LSuarez, give the lad a chance, he has played in pre season against teams that aint anywhere close to Premier League class! He has come from a different styled league and has only had a hand full of games in England. You have to look at it, EVS had 4 years at Fulham before he came to Utd, he has years behind him, people are crucifying the lad on the 1st game! Get over yourselves!

Hart makes plenty of mistakes too, terrible for pushing the ball back into the 6 yard box from saves and his kicking is poor

Damn it. I knew we should have buy great khali. Is andre the giant still available?

totally agree
Lindegaard has been here for nearly 8 months. he is more used to the pace and style of EPL. Give him a chance and let De Gea settle in. De Gea will improve and claim No1 spot due to his greater natural ability.
Erm just how is he used to the pace and style of the EPL? How many PL games has he played?
For the record those of you who think lindegaard is more experienced because of clubs games he has played 72 games to de gea's 93!
