He is also on a long contract so we can actually say he isn't for sale
What if selling Lascelles funded buying Hobbs, Vaughan & a goal scorer?
The rich get richer the poor get poorer
He is on a 4 year contract that is due to end ...December 2016
Why would we sell a future England CB for 3M?
It just doesn't make any sense to sell one of our better prospects when we have ambition.
Can't see us selling unless he demands a move and therefore we'd be in our rights to ask for silly money aka Derby style
£3m plus loaned back for the season would be OK; similar to whatshisname from Palace to Utd last year.
We gave you lansbury for less then than

£3 million is NOT acceptable, we were offered 5 by Tottenham not so long ago. Now he's proven he can step up, his value should not go down. Tell 'em to feck off, Davies.
Webbo Who would want to stop a player who wants to play in the promised land? He could go to the bin robbers next season
An opportunity now for the Chairman to show he means business and reject any offers
And we gave you your red shirts. Without the two stars obviously
Strett .. we would need him next season though. Why sell if we went up we'd have a good solid CB pairing with Hobbs/Lascelles Hobbs/Wilson or Wilson/Lascelles.
Doesn't make sense to give him away for pennies.
Frim
You didn't want Lansbury so we made an offer 2M I believe. He has established himself since his permanent deal went through

Should be holding players like this and even if we got a good price for him we would probably just waste the money anyway, good players are hard to find
Wassa... We haven't given up hope yet of going up. Why sell and reduce the chance of going up.
Spurs offered 5M two seasons ago and we had to offer him another contract which he accepted. Hopefully, he will want to stay and see the season through
If this is true then i suspect Wenger is testing the waters.
Either that or he wants Lascelles to kick up a fuss, in order to force a move. It's not unheard of.
Joke amount. End of.
If they were willing to offer 5m when he was untested that should at least be the benchmark now.
He wouldnt be worth selling anyway, unless we can pull another Hobbs-like quality deal (without the fiasco).
Where exactly has this rumour of an offer come from, anyway?

It was Arsenal who offered £5m and despite him having more experience, having just about proven himself at this level and being on a longer contract; their valuation has gone down by £2m?
Evidently it's reported that Newcastle have offered more. The loan back possibility has been mentioned but as when we was forced to sell off a couple of players before, you look back later and think, we need a decent player/prospect in those positions now.
It's a no brainer for Fawaz to refuse to sell.
Unless the player wants the move then we just put up the not for sale sign.
If albino boy is valued at 15M then so is Lascelles
Why do football fans think clubs should overbid, or even match, a players valuation in initial stages of a transfer discussion. Would make no sense. Low bids to establish your interest is always the best way to start negotiations. Then it is up to Forest how they deal with it. They could give a firm and final no, hint at a willingness to discuss, name a price or accept the bid.
Thanks for the articles, Webbo. As I thought, neither of them say that a bid has been made - I think everyone's getting a bit ahead of themselves.
