Never said they did, was merely comparing the two but what about Hughton?
I suggested they would struggle at the start of the season and got laughed out of the pub...
nothing really more to add but just thought id mention how i was right....

i bet you have been back and laughed at them
I have raised this point at least once a month since....
its balences out all the times im wrong!
This season they sit on the same number of points, so why does Steve Clarke deserve the sack and Laudrup doesn't
Because Huw Jenkins is one of the best chairman around and won't react in a knee jerk way.
I was still iving in Swansea when he took over the club, there was uproar as he turned up and ripped up player contracts, but it was done to save the club, and it did, just!
Look at them now. Steve Clarke didn't deserve the sack, many managers don't but some chairman just can't see the long game.
I think it probably owes more to BR management and certainly makes him looks a very good manager. He leaves swansea they decline in the league, he takes over at Liverpool and they are flying in the league...common denominator; Brendan Rogers.

Swansea had a better season last season then they ever did under rodgers and that was mainly due to laudrups signings. Rodgers shouldn't be getting the credit for swanseas rise. All he did was carry on what Marinez started

And the blinkered arsenal supporter reckons BR deserves no credit
It Started with Toshack, he installed a style of play.
Not saying he's a poor manager. He's done a fantastic job at Liverpool so far but for swansea Maetinez started it all and came with the fresh ideas. Rodgers did a good job in maintaining that and Laudrup got them Michu who was the reason behind their brilliant half season. Since the league cup win they've been shìt
Swansea have had a nightmare with injuries. West Brim couldn't say the same.
Swansea have had Europa League to deal with. West Brom couldn't say the same.
Swansea tend to do pretty well in domestic cups, West Brom couldn't say the same.
The Swansea players are clearly still putting it in for Laudrup. Performances have been good, they just lack something because of all their injuries. West Brom couldn't say the same, the only time their players performed was against the top teams.
Rodgers has as much impact on Swansea as Roy Hodgson had on Liverpool.

Laudrup's decision to loan out Ki and bring in Shelvey as a replacement gives me doubts about him.
Doesn't stop the fact that they have been in relegation form for the last season.
I'm not saying they should sack him but I'm just surprised there is no media attention on it.
I think it's because Swansea's was everyone's second favourite club last season. I just don't think Laudrup is as good a manager as people make out.
Rodgers got them promoted and didn't spend half what Laudrup spent.
Ahh yes martinez did it all and rodvers did nothing
been looking at form table for prem... swansea are bottom. i think they are going down
Loads of injuries to key players. They're still competitive in every game they play and they will be fine when they are back.
they will be fine,
what i have seen they seem to be quite comfortable in Europe playing some good football, but its taking its toll on their league performances.
i fancy either Spurs or swans to win it, or make the semis, final, just at what expense league wise for both clubs will be the question.
I think they might both get knocked out actually.
Swansea will lose to Napoli IMO, and Spurs could easily lose to Dnipro or Benfica in the round after.
If either get through to last 8 they will have a good chance.
maybe a good thing for the swans righteous, need to get them league points.
just have a feeling with spurs it could be another scenario like Chelsea winning the cl when they wasn't given much of a chance.
